I agree. Think Shelbyville has the advantage in guard play. Got to take care of Hearne first.

Difference in a high school basketball team that was great in football and lifts  weights on a regular basis and one that doesn’t lift weights and makes all their basketball players run cross country. Strength and physicality are vital 

Have to pull for Shelbyville.  They knocked my old team out of the Reg Quarterfinals the last two years.

Only thing I hate for SeTx schools.  Smaller (relatively) schools I mean.  It seems like there is an ingrained idea that you can just fly around and scare the other team into turning it over (Kountze, HJ, Silsbee, EC).  That may have definitely been the case in the past but now eventually you'll run into just a sound basketball team.  When forced into a halfcourt basketball game with a good basketball team it usually doesn't end well.  I know people will say that Silsbee had great success with it, and that's true, but with that amount of talent it probably didn't matter.  

Brock has the 3rd best record.  Ec had the best, Cole had 2nd, then Brock, then Dallas Madison

I'd be interested to hear peoples thoughts on this. I will say no, but am open to hear why some think it is.

No stalling letting them play physical very few fouls. Grapeland tried to go inside and did get 24 with 2 in the 1st. Shelbyville probably had at least a dozen blocks not counting the shots that were contested.

How is it both teams got to wear dark colors  ? Doesn't the home team haft to have there home colored Jerseys on.... 

First let me say what a incredible run for those Silsbee seniors.  Best of luck to Adams and McCain at Austin Peay!   Been a pleasure watching you guys the last 4 years.  Glad you are graduating.
Now anyone complaining about refs is just plain foolish.  Yates won the game fair and square.  Is Yates better than Silsbee.  No, I don’t think so.  Had a better day than Silsbee and that was with foul trouble all game long.  That’s just the way it goes sometimes.  
 
 

That 1st quarter both teams had shots go have way in and come in alot. Half time Grapeland had 6 points and 4 of them were free throws.  Very physical game.

Watched pretty much that same bunch play as Sophs & Juniors.  Didn’t take a basketball expert to figure out they’d be awesome as Seniors.

Difference in the game 

Woodville had a chance to put this out of reach early but went cold.  They’re trying to force it down into Beatty too much and turning it over, and they haven’t been getting back on defense 

Hope they got whatever that was out of our system 

I’m driving into SA tonight and will be ready for the HJ/Argyle matchup tomorrow night!!
