I don't know about their passing game, but I've seen video of their running style. They're like us, except they run out of an offset I formation, but its a power run game. O-Linemen block well, and Ingram isn't that much faster than last year, but he's a load to bring down. You gotta hit this guy before he gets a full head of steam. Our linemen will need to have a huge day. On offense nothing spectacular, just can't have any turnovers or any stalled drives. We need scores every drive. We have an excellent kicking game, so no shame in kicking that FG. We'll win the field position battle because they won't punt or kick to us, so we need to make them pay. They're undefeated and have been plowing the competition, so I see nothing wrong with them taking their first loss Friday.

Yea, I was leaning more toward the local teams who's season ended at the other team's hands.

From last year. PN-G vs. College Station, Silsbee Vs. Carthage, and PA Memorial Vs. Temple. Let's go and get different results and send those guys home packing!
-
Silsbee was a me to run really well against Carthage last year... So is it that much different up front for them? Meaning the D-Line. Are they that much better than last year? Because Silsbee's O-Line is better than last year's... If Silsbee can play bully ball like they be been doing well over a month now, then it'll come down to if Silsbee's defense can slow Mr. Ingram and the Bulldog offense down...

You're out of your element. Never knew you were a football guy too... -
The Huffman score was 61-30 Silsbee...

Strange thing I noticed. The teams left in region 3 are Silsbee, Carthage, Kilgore, and Henderson... And Silsbee knocked off Center. I guess it's to no one's surprise that there is a 75% chance that region 3 will be represented by someone from that district...
-
They've gotten progressively better. But there were flashes early. Even in the scrimmage vs. Lumberton. I'm with you in that it all needs to come together vs. Carthage WHILE the Offense is till clicking with the young guns leading the charge...
-
IMO, the defense has always been there... They played the defending State champ, WO-S pretty close till late in the second half. Defense was doing good then got tired late because the Offense wasn't consists. Also, Silsbee's defense held Newton to their second lowest point total this year. As you know, Newton has been running through everyone like a hot knife through butter... Then the floor kinda fell out against Shadow Creek and LC-M, probably due to injuries. Now they're here and I love the way the defense is playing...

Congrats, but wake me up at the state title game... As I said before from day one, this team is a freight train to state...

2nd game in a row to hold opponent under 200 yard rushing. Keep being solid, Defense.

Congrats, Memorial! Go get Temple! -
Funny thing... During this game, the Silsbee band played the Debo theme from the movie Friday. Just like Debo 'punked' and bullied everyone on the movie, Silsbee punked and bullied Bay City all over the field in the second half... The O-Linemen took charge, and the young guns ran wild. The defense laid some wood out there... Shout out to the awesome junior duo of Sells and White. White was picked on most of the night at that right corner position and he had about 4 huge pass defenses, with no flag. Sells delivered the hit of the night on some unsuspecting Black Cat. Bay City got unraveled late in the game with personal fouls, late hits and started chirping and trying to start a fight. Glad the Tigers ignored it and moved on..

Great season, Big Ned. I knew it would be an uphill battle... You represented well...

That's just one of the issues... What's best for the students is another...

That old man wouldn't come out of retirement for us... Nederland, 4 straight district titles? Thing of the past... Won't happen again..

Ey, you can support another small school about 20 miles north or Beaumont, for at least another year. Lol
