  1. That's what I'm thinking too. Boy Wonder may need to throw and catch to himself this year. I feel the same way with Silsbee and WO-S. They both have so much to replace... Maybe I'll be proved wrong once they start playing games....
  2. Yes, you're right. McCain was 'Eating' down low. And you're right. It benefited in that game vs. Carter because they had no answer for him down there. But against teams with bigger front lines, the tall guards will benefit in the perimeter because they'll always have the advantage. I'm sure big 3, aka the best back court in the state, will make up for the overall lack of size once again when it matters during playoff time...
  3. I'm pretty sure there's a shortage of SMRJ's in this kid's game...
  4. Nah. I think Adams and McCain have both topped off already... But again, they're both guards and will spend majority their time on the perimeter...
  5. We all know K Boogie played above the rim. So he was the exception...
  6. Martin and Sells is all I can think of at this point. Neither of them solve the height issue.
  7. I will say this. I know Memorial lost 4 starters, it they return the young 6'7" big man who started all year and the kids from JV that will move up are exceptionally good. Had Coleman stayed, I would say they would have been a good game. I say Silsbee by 15. But things could work out to make things closer. Will Silsbee football boys still be playing football when this game happens. A couple of Silsbee's 'dogs' play football. Also, will Silsbee have any tall kids? They'll be EXTREMELY small this year with they tallest kids being guards...
  8. I COMPLETELY agree with THIS statement.
  9. You know I love the previews!. Grad, you're the man.
  10. I'll be paying attention to this team as well... Funny. Feels like deja vu. I've said this before...
  11. Best girls team in area, regardless of classification? Better than United, Lumberton, Livingston, and Barbers Hill? Sorry, y'all. This is hard to believe. I guess we'll see how it unfolds....
  12. C'mon, now. Lol
  13. I know what the two returners can do. Interested to see the Kountze transfer....
  14. H-F had 2 really good looking kids out there. One kid that hurt his shoulder in the game against Silsbee and the kid that caught the last TD pass in that same game. Now, on Friday nights, they'll have to adjust to life without the kid that got recruited by Army...
  15. I know you not talking when y'all got Smokey the bear and Yogi as y'all logo, Mr. Weak Brooke.
  16. Great last two TD catches by HF.
  17. I have no idea how H-F beat United. They are down 12-7 to Silsbee at halftime....
  18. Both basketball programs will be fun. That's for sure. Congrats Coach Green and Coach Brown.
  19. Agreed. Especially on the comment about Coach Brown...
  20. There will be one at Legacy
  21. Yes, Elia said he was nursing an injury (surgery) and wouldn't play, but was there to support. That current QB, they say he's a sophmore looked good. Didn't have many bad looking passes.
  22. Yea, Silsbee was ok. They rotated between like 3 qb's. One was nervous, one had a strong arm but not accurate, and the southpaw kid just need more reps. They'll be ok, especial considering that Silsbee is a running team in the fall. WB is GOOD. They have serious speed on the edges and they have some kids with hops that can just go and get it over the top. Also, the WB QB has a cannon of an arm. They just look physically more imposing than Dayton, Nederland, or Silsbee. You can tell they've been working since after football season. Dayton has some speed, QB not impressive. Nederland has some kids that run crisp routs. I didn't really pay much attention to GCM.
