Beats me. But I'm sure UIL has it in place for a reason. Maybe with the lower classifications, they feel that the strain of full contact workouts is too much for kids that more than likely will be going both ways all season long...

Yea, when united played them, that was their downfall. Once he got tired, they didn't take him out then it turned into a track meet and dunk fast. If they had even a slight bench to give him a small blow, they'd win a lot more games...

Really hard to say on the game. I haven't seen either team this year yet, but I hear good things. Both high energy, both have some athletes that can go. Both have good coaching. But I may have to give a nod to West Brook since the game is at home...

Never heard of that.. Opting up is an option for all schools. If you do not exercise that option, then you are placed in your respective classification based on snapshot numbers.

There was a projection with Lufkin, but I know there are some Tyler schools up that way that can form their own district. My projections above would have 7 team district , 6 district games and 4 nondistrict games. Maybe add 1 or both of the New Caney schools. I personally would love just a 7 team district..
