1. I wonder who he's throwing to? Being as he's the best receiver on the team. Lol!
 2. Any score yet? Who is starting at QB?

Game against Tyler Lee means nothing, then the bye week, then a game against Baytown Sterling, where they could get by without him as well....
Agreed, but he really needs to get back in the mix before the NS game, which is the week following Sterling.
Yeah it would definitely be nice if they could get him some action before NS, but I'd also like for them to make sure that he is able to play against NS.... I know where you are coming from, hopefully he will be fine before Sterling and it's a non-issue!!!
yeah, that would be nice.

That kid is a great complement to Percy. If given the right set, both backs can do some damage. We really need to win this game!
Wycoff = "Waffle"...nick name from little league..
LOL! I nicknamed him "Tree Trunk" after seeing him at a track meet a few years back. His legs looked like Tree Trunks. Thats what he is affectionately known as around our house. hehe....

Clack and Sr J. Malone will play QB for the Bruins.
yeah. We want to win obviously but we don't want to risk further injury to Stump in a nondistrict. I say we have a good chance even if Stump doesn't play. Could work itself out like last year's Lee game-Reyes injured, Stump starts, WB wins.
They have split time before as freshman(stump/malone)...malone has played QB since he was born(u know what I mean)...even split time with Reyes in little league a little...I just hate that he was thrown in with out having split reps in practice since the spring....should have been brought around with stump since last year behind Jr, if he was planning on playing him at QB...IMO...there were plenty of games where both could have been evaluated....Bruce Jr's first full game was against Northshore...in week 5 i believe... I would rely on Percy/"Waffle" on the ground with Clack for this one....keep bringing malone around for district...but we are a lil thin at receiver to risk another injury before district.  If Malone/Clack do good this game, does a rotation of QB/WR(Stump) start to mix in for District?
You are 100%, absolutely correct in your opinion. It seems like its a little late to throw him in the mix.

 9. Man, that is awesome. It makes me beam with pride that he is a Bruin, and that he is succeeding at the next level.
 10. I tend to think we'll rebound nicely, from the Katy game, and win this one by 2 scores.
 11.
When this Stump is done there is another Stump who is a sophomore that will take over the reigns next year
Don't be so sure.
 12. OK gang, the Katy game is behind us, so lets fughedaboudit! The Bruins snuck away with one in this game last year, 27-25. Who ya got in this one?
 13.
It's not like WB beats Katy every year till now, Katy rolls most teams, WB will be ok and make the playoffs.
;)
 14. Congrats on the win. Hope to see y'all do well the rest of the year, except against WB, of course. LOL! :)
 15.
I was there.  Katy killed WB from the get go.  Their OL pushed us around and they ran at will.  Their QB was phenomenal and made great choices for a high school QB.  Our "passer" can't seem to see more than the receiver he picks from the huddle and watches him the whole time and if he's not open he just runs.  Then the head coach gets on other players and never gets in his QB's face...hmmmm? Tonight proved it's time to start getting a QB of the future some snaps...Sorry coach, how do they say?  There is no "Son" in Team?  or something like that...
Typical Katy football. This is why they have 6 state championships to their credit......oh, and great defense!
 16.
Katy took their foot off the gas.
As they do in every game when they're clearly the better team. They are a classy enough program, to not run up the score when they obviously could. WB was clearly no match for Katy tonight. Just sayin.....
 17. While I wasn't at this game, I was getting text updates from both WB fans, and Katy fans. The outcome of this game should come as no surprise. This just confirms that WB is just not ready to compete with the elite of 5A. I will stay supportive of my Bruins the rest of the way, but we're gonna have to address the run defense, or lack of it, if we're gonna do anything in the playoffs. We were exposed by a good O-line and 2 average RB's tonight. "That dog wont hunt", in the playoffs.Katy and WB, were both, who we thought they were. Let's pick ourselves up and dust ourselves off, and get ready to take on Tyler Lee next week.

I predicted the above score would be the final, and I was dang close! The final was 42-7! I think I deserve a few +karma points for that! ;)
 20.
35-6 Katy
42-8 ;)
 21.
This game will come down to execution, discipline, and coaching.  ::) As for a prediction...it will be clear skies, and beautiful day for a good ball game. Week in and week out teams line up against Katy to play the best game of their life...for some play makers, it takes them out of their best game...others, can't handle the pressure of playing "KATY".  THAT is the only difference between a dynasty and trying to become one....the mental preparation for this game will supersede any phase of a game these kids have been already playing for years. You want to count on ur play makers and hope the rest of the TEAM on the field can maintain their poise...it's just another game....focus....and we will execute, be disciplined, and our coaching will be right on!
8)
 22.
WB, why show up? Don't waste tax payer's gas. Stay home
Nice. Classy post.
