In honor of Drelon playing in the All American Game on Saturday, I'd like us to look back at all the talent that has come from Silsbee a town of 6,800 people. If I miss anyone please add. This is actually quit remarkable.

They have a shot. Hitchcock is definitely the most talented team in the region but Kountze is good enough to have a “puncher’s chance” imo.

#5 is a very good guard. I would say top 5 player in district.

Mere freshman don’t walk in the door and start for Duncanville. Those are probably some of the best freshman in the state or country.

Allen has like 7,000 kids to build a roster from. They should be class 8A or something if it existed.
Hate to say it, but Booker T has to be the favorite to come out of R3 in 4A right now. They got a nice win over Little Rock Christian Academy. Silsbee has some work to do.

Silsbee played their normal press and fast paced style. Caused a lot of turnovers in the first half, but Benton figured it out and was able to break the press and run. The height advantage was a killer. Silsbee went cold in the 2nd half, not taking bad shots, they just weren't falling. Burgess heated up in the 2nd half, but Harris probably led all scorers w/ maybe 25-30 points. Miller had at least twenty also.

Good win Tigers. Another big school our Tigers have played. Finally everyone starting to come back. This tournament and the Super Dome tournament next week should have this Tiger team ready for a loooong run. TigerNation!!!

Just crunched some numbers. We are officially at Christmas break and so far on this high school basketball season I have watched over 50 games and 77 high school boys basketball teams. My goal each year is to see 100 teams. Now I have seen some of these games online but the vast majority of the games I have seen I have attended in person. (tournament season helps get the numbers up). Next week is the last week of tournament season then it's nothing but district play until playoffs. Just Tuesday/Friday schedule after next week.
Next week I'll be attending East Chambers, Little Cypress-Mauriceville/IP, Lee College Classic and Hull-Daisetta tournaments.
Looking forward to the final week of tournaments and then district season in full tilt.
