​Understandably So....  so was Lincolns road easy?  I agree with what bigcam had to say.  Is 2 rounds deep a success in the community's eyes....I doubt it.  They ve been spoiled by Lincoln's hay days.  Even TJ made it to state in 2000 beating Ozen and later Lincoln in regional. 

The proper program hasn't been established yet(in my opinion) Lincoln made it look easy, but the Success we had took a lot of hard work, kids honored their commitment to the Team. Not a lot of transferring back then, no AAU lies being told; $old. A solid program starts at the Elementary age. There is tons of Talent in PA, unfortunately talent alone doesn't  win many games; or big games. Too much focus has been trying to force our Past on these kids, they must forge their own identity to be able to identify with their past. Can't know who you're going to be until you realize who you are. JMO

Travis will do well in Kountze!!! 

My educated take on this move is simple. Boutte takes the job over and operates as HC and AD, Travis takes over HC for basketball at Kountze and Joubert will do straight football. Now if ANY situation would be suitable for Anthony to get a shot at being a HC its this one. Reason? Resources. If he would just sit there with his dad for a short time, I'm sure he could take that program over at some point. That job in PA is NOT for everyone. It's one of those jobs to where you have to be a PART of the community and understand the roots, or adopted by the community and taught the thoroughly.  It will be interesting to see how this unfolds.

BC must have really been able to give him a raise to leave HJ. He worked that group into a power running team in two years. 

I think HJ will go backwards from the past 2 seasons and Central will make a deep playoff run. 

You might be right.  But Big Sandy would be the most disciplined team Silsbee would likely play.  Would be a fantastic test for both teams IMO.

​I was one of those guys who said he should have been starting during football season last yr. You cant have him playing both ways though. 

Saw a few highlights of  him from last season and on the news playing 7 on 7. He seems to be a very good QB. Why wasn't he starting all of last year? It seems he a Brooks could be a very good back field tandem for Silsbee. Thomas doesn't have the same to speed as Reed or Johnson but he seems high IQ plays on both sides of the ball. Also it looks like Kalon Barnes will be a nice add at WR. He is big and has some strong speed. His dad Chris was a national 100m champ back in 1988 for Silsbee. 

I would agree! What would also make sense is for him to transfer to Silsbee this year and play QB or WR. Lol

HJ still plays basketball???   I thought they gave up to concentrate on their new found success on the football field!

Interesting.  Must be assuming Silsbee will win the first game at home rather handily.
