I saw Yates play some during the holidays and they are pretty solid. I would say right now, they would be a 6 pt favorite vs Silsbee. Lots of basketball to play over the next month and half. It would be cool to see Silsbee vs Yates play to advance to state this season.

If Silsbee wins district, outside of Wheatley who else in Region 3 D2 could be a threat to make it to state? Seems like most of the ranked teams in TABC will be D1.

Johnson is around 6'2 180lbs. Long wing span and has a nice shot. He playd great defense for Silsbee in playoffs last season. He will have an impact when he gets in basketball shape for sure.

I predicted this team to advance 3 or 4 rounds deep. Region III looks pretty stacked having 5 or 6 ranked teams. Haven't seen Yates or Washington this year but they are ranked in the top 5.

Looks like Vidor's state rankings won't last long.

Last year I think Silsbee won by 60 or so. BC has a good team this year.
