I think Silsbee has the best DL/LBs in the district and I would say Top 10 in 4A. Very soldi group. Silsbee weakest link for defense has been the secondary. They are pretty young but have started to get better.

This is the first time in a few years Silsbee has had a true dual threat QB. Johnson is around 6'2 185lbs. Big strong kid with a very good arm..Silsbee offense doesn't have many big 50 yard plays as past offenses but that 6-7 yards a play is great for ball control.

Silsbee's secondary will need to keep those wondering eyes out of the backfield. That has been a struggle for Silsbee this season.

Tarkington came out playing well vs Silsbee last year. I remember they threw a pic in the end zone intercepted by Farr. Silsbee beat them easily but they played well for the first 2 quarters. Did all those kids graduate? QB was decent last year.

The last good Cleveland football team i remember was around 2013 when Silsbee beat them out in Channelview.

Shepherd hasn't played a decent team all season. I would rank their schedule along the lines of Kountze. The best wins are against 3-3 Kirbyville and 3-3 Anderson Shiro. WOS by 24. WOS 38 Shepherd 14.

A team who hasn't beat anyone with a winning record still has alot to prove. I dont think Shepherd beats WOS, Silsbee or HF. There only other win will be vs Jasper.

Do they opt up in hopes of making the playoffs? They virtually have no chance playing Silsbee, WOS, HF, and Jasper.

Tarkington would be more competitive back in 3A. Seems like that area is growing..

Im sure they look like giants playing 3A winless programs. I dont think there is a kid on Shepherd who is better than several Mustangs, Tigers, or Longhorns.
