Yea they could be in a senerio where they automaticaly become a playoff contender. Nothing wrong with that either. 21-3A is hard to compete in due to it being top heave with Silsbee and WOS.

Id also like to mention Jasper as a legit top team. I dont think they won any state title but their win lose record is strong. I remember all the Limbricks, Terrence Currington, and Shaun Horn days.

I agree with all of you. Crazier things can happen. HJ should have a better team this year and in 4-5 years have a winning season. Not a district championship but mabe a 3rd place team.

I see Silsbee being just fine next year  ;)

Newton has had some fantastic teams. I think they have 3 state titles. I know Katy, Lake Travis, and South Lake Carrol are very high on everyones list. I know Austin Westlake has had some very great teams as well as Alto and Aledo.

If Silsbee has Chris Elam back next year for all sports then Silsbee very well could win district again. Michael McCain is a very good player but how good? Pat Reed will be down low and Zayon Jacskson will run point guard. I know serveral players on JV and varsity are going to be better. I look for Silsbee to finish 2nd in district behind WOS. I do expect Silsbee to get to the Regional Tourney again.

Looks like a good field. I expect HJ and Longview to be in the final!

What about Converse Judson or Lewisville?
