Silsbee had a guard who never really panned out. I think he went by the name Capic or something like that. He played maybe one year and I think transfered or left school. I think if Silsbee had Elvin Earl Spearman back in 1995, they would be state champs. He was a long 6'3 wing and very very athletic and could play lock down defense. I remember Spearman transferring to Buna and averaging about 25ppg before being dismissed from the team.

Elam graduated in 2013/14. We only lost a senior from last year who never really got playing time. This year we lose 3 fantastic players in Maze, Grubbs, and Dontre Thomas.

Nope I didn't play due to having a kidney transplant my freshman year. I did take up golf in college and have played at least once a month for close to 16 years.

I have played countless rounds of golf on Fridays for the past 13 years lol!! I'm no scrub either. Neither of us are pros but I promise you I will surprise you on my skill. I just bought a new set of Mizuno a few weeks ago. I'm ready when your ready.

We beat them in Silsbee in 1996/97

Silsbee never played Lincoln in Deer Park. Silsbee played Lincoln back in 1988/89 in Port Neches in the playoffs. Silsbee played Lincoln at Westbrook in the playoffs in 1993. They played Lincoln in the playoffs back to back years at Lamar 95 and 96. Besides that we played them in Silsbee and Lincoln almost every year. I know in 1992 and 1994 we beat them in Loncoln.

Lazeek I'm sure you think your the greatest golfer ever but I'd really hate to take your retirement money. I'm playing this Saturday with 3 guys who played at UT and one who played at Cal. You should come join us.

I'm sure he was busy trying to move and find a new place to live. My brother is a assistant college AD and it takes time to get situated and moved. I'm sure he will show up at all sporting events soon.

Silsbee played Lamar Consolidated at Deer Park that year before the Lincoln game. I was on the team and we didn't play Lincoln at Deer Park. We played them 3 times. Once in Lincoln, once in Silsbee, and once in Beaumont in the playoffs. Silsbee beat Lincoln in 1995/96 in the Montage Center after being down by as much as 20 points.

Being honest, I don't think Yates talent pool is what it was over the past 5 seasons. Yates won't beat Silsbee next year. Wheatley has a their allstate post #23 coming back and could be better than Yates

Is he originally from Port Arthur? I know some Parquets out that way.
