Yep its a scrimmage!!! Controlled one at that. It's a practice vs another team. Silsbee will be fine I'm sure.

Scatright, you keep mentioning unproven QB. Jones wouldn't have as many offers if he wasn't proven. He killed it in 7 on 7 and 4A ball isn't 6A D1 ball. I have seen him play and in sure he will do well in 4A.

I live by Cy Ranch and have watched them over the last 3 seasons. Silsbee will still throw the ball I'm sure.

Silsbee will still throw the ball. They have a D1 QB who is very actuate and he still has a D1 WR 6'2 Barnes and another strong one in 5'9 Tre Lowe. We hate that Mackey left but the show will still go on.

Remember he did have a great QB last year in Dontre Thomas who could get him the ball.

I don't think Silsbee misses much of beat with him leaving. He was a great go to WR. If they are more focused on running the ball, his production would have dropped. Maybe Barnes MA dither will step up. I hope Mackey catches for 2000 yards in Evadale and he has a great senior season. Meanwhile Silsbee will still smash Bridge City!!!

Seems like a big move when your already into a week of practice. 4A to 2A is a big jump. Playing WOS and Jasper to playing Sabine Pass and West Hardin??? 3500 people in the stands to 200? Knowing everyone in your class to being the new kid your senior year? 2A unranked basketball from 4A top 2? Aggie I'm sure is close to the situation and will enlighten us.

You have to remember that Dontre Thomas was a very good QB last year as well. Barnes caught close to 1000 yards for Silsbee and Tre Lowe is solid as well. I hate to see the Mackey kid leave and if it's his dad trying to get back at Silsbee because he didn't get the job, that sucks. I don't think going to a 2A school will do much for scholarship offers. He was also a good help on the basketball court. I guess someone will née to step up there too.
