Playing 5 plus home and 5 plus away, those jerseys are getting used alot!!!

I didn't know schools still kept jerseys after a year. I was under the assumption most schools get new jerseys each year.

Screen print is cheap. The name on the back means a lot as well. Some of you have a old way of thinking.

Everyone knows the front of the jersey but if you have worked your tails off in 2 a days and you playing for your community why not.

Why not have in high school? That's as far as MOST kids will ever get. Is it a written rule?

Silsbee only has like 7 home games this year I've heard. I don't know if they will have a 30 plus win season but they will be as battled tested as Lincoln was last year. I think Dallas Lincoln was like 21-16.

What schools in SETX have this and why don't more do it. If your on varsity then I think it should be an accomplishment to have your name of your family on your jersey. Thoughts?

Get more teams to state and win. Need schools like Silsbee, PNG, Nederland, and one of the Beaumont schools to step up and get to state. The last few in our area Newton, WOS, and PAM have done a great job.

Allstar games use to be played as if they were real games in the 80's and early 90s. I remember watching games where they were very competitive not like they are now. Check out the 1988, 1990, 1986, and 1992 all star games. Tell me those weren't played like Game 7 of the Finals.

Kids do get better

As long as Silsbee stays injury free, I think they will advance to state again. Yates is still a challenge as well as Navasota and Wheatley. Silsbee will still have their hands full with one or more of these teams.

Jeremy was very good but I think Patrick Reed and Dontre Thomas were just as good!! Dontre may have been the best in just one season.

Jones could have started at Central or Ozen last season. He was the best QB in Beaumont last year easily. He attended Legacy because that's where his parents wanted him to go. Your concern for him going from Legacy to 4A is crazy. He has played against higher level schools before. He didn't get all those offers for nothing!

If you looked at it this way you may compare. Phelps 28 Medals Jordan 5 League MVPS, 6 Finals MVPs, 3 Allstar game MVPs, 1 defense player award, 2 dunk contest championships, 13 time all NBA 1st team.

If you like to judge scrimmages, then you must think Dax Prescott in Dallas is better than Cam Newton and Tom Brady by his game Saturday. Tyler, Barnes, McCain, and Jones all have D2 scholarships for a reason and are game changers. I think Adonis Thomas will start getting offer this year as well. The Oline will be fine. This was their 1st time playing someone other than themselves. It is an entire new line. No more Patrick Hudson. I promise you those boys will be ready come week one. Most of you have never seen Tyler Jr or Jones III play. I think Willie Jones III is just as good a QB as his dad was.
