So I wasn't able to make it but I'm hearing great things about my boys! Even Silsbee boys are saying Lumberton is a different team this season.

Getting excited for Friday nights

I don't have any favs,but I went & saw the scrimmage.Both defenses need more work.Lumberton & Silsbee starting qb's I thought threw the ball rather well.What I didn't get to see was any QB run options.Silsbee had more size on the O/L than Lumberton.Silsbee had more team speed.Both secondaries missed assignments.Alot more passing than running.Both sides had fumbles/ints.Overall both teams to me wasn't alot of differance enuff to say any team dominated the other.I believe both sides saw room for improvement in all areas.It was alot of fun to see action vs another for the 1st time this year.I'd rate the scrimmage as a + for both squads,a few stood out as solid playmakers.Hope both have success in the coming weeks.The Winner was every kid that went out for football.Nice crowd today

Yes 3000 yards. Westfield had two quarterbacks throw for a combined 1900 yards or so. The QB position was the weakest position on their team. Sterling-Cole is a huge upgrade. Plus Westfield also got a blue chip transfer at wide receiver. They had two running backs that ran for over 1200 yards a peace and a blue chip tight end so the play action game will be on point. I always felt that Strrling-cole was being under utilized at West orange do to defensive minded and conservative coaching.

I think the kid will start and throw for over 3000 and 30 touchdowns.

Cole will be deeply missed! Hate to see him and his family go. I believe the Mustangs will have a rough time in the playoffs without Cole.

Their coach doesn't want them playing it. Remember he is a defensive guy.

I agree with that and I am honest enough to say if HJ beats WOS it will be a huge upset. I am realistic to know the power house that is WOS, and I honestly can not name a school in our area from 1a to 6a that would not be an underdog to WOS. The game will be played and my only hopes are the HJ boys leave it all on the field and give it their best shot because every now and then the champ takes an unexpecting blow to the chin and finds himself on the canvas.

PICKY !!! Anytime a young man makes all district is an honor , to make all district 1st team both ways wr /db as a sophmore and help your school get into the playoffs for the 1st time in 40 years . Plus add on district 10-2A Mvp and all state as a basketball player on one of the best b ball program year that compete in the state tournement year in and year out . I will say with 2 years left playing football sky is the limit for this young man . He keeps it up why couldnt he be elite player by his sr year ? Give him a break !!

The fact was the East team was far more talented than the West. I heard the West had several players turn the game down. The East looked better on paper and it remained that way on the field, ESPECIALLY on defense. Teel from WO-S, Stewart from Nederland, Fontenot from WO-S, Lott  from PAM, Matthews from PAM, Fentress from Woodville, Swinton from PAM were simply way too much to overcome for West on offense.
And I want to say it again, Jeremiah Rose should be proud to head to Southeastern Louisiana because they are a great school and I promise you this kid will make some D1 schools sick to their stomachs for not even showing him any interest, mainly you LU. What a shame.

Two Qb's at wos Isnt cole one of the top qb in setx coming back this year? From what im reading it seems like its gonna be some type of qb controversy.

If you have 2 QBs you have no QB. Hope the Stangs stick with Sterling-Cole and not some type of rotation.

You can choose to do the right thing or choose to do the easy thing. Neither way is going to be popular by those it effects. It goes on everywhere!

A lot of Teams around the State wish they had PNG's scenario at QB. If the "Fans" allow these young men to be teammates this could be huge for the Indians. If Morse wins, you have a proven backup standing in the Gap. Outside influences can Tear Teams apart. Fans Keep your Darn nose out of it & let the Kids & Coaches handle it on the Field. I think this is the problem. Your question should be, "Can anyone give me some advice on how I can get my kid some offers?" It's not about who is better than who. Or "My son's Sparq rating is higher than yours." What's important is that your kid gets offered. Showing us how much better he is than someone else won't help you. I'm just sayin.

Toby has done this for years and knows the ends and outs to recruiting. The guy really works for and care for the kids. A solid guy!
