If LCM controls the ball and don't get careless "sloppy" and the coaches make good decisions on play calling, Cleveland won't have the possession of the ball as much as they had against Bridge City. LCM backs are faster and quicker than what you guys seen against Bridge City. Bridge City has a running back that will run over you. LCM's backs not one but two will run with similar power but faster and quicker. There's always that question in my mind though about just how sharp LCM will play sometimes. Like you guys say, we never know either.

He does look like he is comfortable back there. Looks like he has been there all year. It will be good to see how well he can handle some pressure.

Depending on the Qb situation this game could be closer then what some think. Defense will need to step up and have a good game.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings to see Bridge City pull this one out. But I feel like Jasper will win it by 10.

Oh crap I forgot about this. I didn't forget about the game, I forgot that it was their homecoming. So distractions is worth maybe a touchdown or two just ask the Nederland fans. Sorry PNG fans but I still think you guys won't blow this one.

If I were a PNG fan, I'd set back get comfortable and have fun. Indians won't have no problems in this one.

You are right on talking about those two plays called and Chris17 is right on about the on side kicks almost predictable. I would have mentioned this in the earlier post but I thought I would give some positive comments at the time. Sometimes you would think that the calls these coaches make is as if they've just started making calls. Onside kick with 2:31 left in the half against a offense like Silsbee and a defense like LCM, NOT good. That end around play; how are you going to sell that play when you're not doing such a good job faking the ball out of slot-T when that is a key to that offense. OK I'm done for now, but somebody has got to give these coaches a "C-mon Man". I got to give Coach Crouch credit for complimenting players for playing their tales off and they are. Good job Bears.

Congrats Silsbee, good job. I still think that Silsbee will be the team to beat in this district. Pretty much turned out the way I thought it would. Silsbee's well balanced and well coached. LCM did what they had to do just to keep the ball out of Silsbee's hands or the score would have been worst than what it was.  I still think LCM will be good for the rest of the season. The next two weeks will be the determining factor though.

This could be one of those games when it looks like it's all Silsbee in the first half. Then the Bears will make a game out of it in the second half. I think the biggest job for the Bears is containing Silsbee QB the first half. If he controls the game in the first half it will be a big battle for the Bears to come back the second half.   

There is no doubt I believe Silsbee will be the team to beat this year. Totally a different team from last year and very well coached. The way they are playing now and the way that LCM is playing I can see them putting up 40 points. Then again, at this time of year I have seen coach Crouch get his Bears up for these types of games and I am saying " This time of the year". I can remember going up against PNG the last 2 years we played them and no one gave the Bears a chance. But coach Crouch had the Bears believing that they could do it and had them ready for those games. The improvement shown last week was good but maybe not good enough for this week against Silsbee but down the stretch looking pretty good. I will say Silsbee is good for this game.But just saying don't completely count out the Bears.  

GOOD JOB BEARS. After 4 weeks we finally see some improvements and it paid off. Eliminating the turnovers was the key to the win. The backs are starting to pick up the pace and running harder. Kind of seems like they are understanding the new offense and getting more comfortable with it. The offensive line showing little improvement. They still need to get a little quicker and stay on their blocks. Every time the defense beats them on the snap they get pushed back and it disrupts the play development in the backfield. If they would have played like this earlier they could be setting at 2 & 2 instead of 1 & 3. May not be enough improvement for Silsbee but it's going to help. If this improvement continues I think the Bears will be ok for the rest of the season. Defense needs to tighten up. Need to work on the outside containment and someone needs to tell the defensive backs when they see a guy coming towards them with the ball in their hand, that's the guy they are suppose to tackle. How can you let the guy run right by you?     

Lets try it again at least one more time. LCM should win this one even though they probably won't have it all together again this week. There is no use in going through all of their problems but there's one thing for sure eliminate the fumbles and turn overs they might win this one before they get to Cleveland and Splendora. LCM recovers their on fumble in the end zone for a 24 - 20 win. 

I believe LCM will improve enough to just get by with this one. LCM 20 GCM 17

You're right but there is a lot of work to be done.

You're right the O line is way to slow at this point. But if the coaches knew they were going to this in the off season they should have been prepared. I really don't think LCM off season is all that much prep for the next year.

It's going to take some time for the transition. It's not going to happen like it is going in Bridge City. So I guess we should sit back and wait for the coaches to learn it and then try to sell it to the players. smh

Somebody might correct me but I don't think LCM has a coach that has ever ran the slot t. They may have ran something similar but it wasn't the slot t.
