Coach Harrell left LCM in 2002 with Coach Thompson to go to Palestine. He was the Head Coach of Palestine when Coach T left. He coached peterson through high school. Coach Harrell then left and with to Coach with Barry Norton as a Assistant HC.

I'm not a full time follower of LCM since all of my kids have graduated from there. I was going by an earlier quote. Should have addressed it as the DC at the moment. Thanks for the correction. I will be there tonight hoping their offense can keep up without being sloppy.

  2. I would worry about LCM defense also. If you have watched the film of Vidor and Silsbee, the two big OL of Vidor #75 & #99 where they line up almost 90% of the time will indicate where the play is going.  I'm sure coach Harrell has picked up on that. Those guys, for their size are quick off the line. They will switch from one side of the line to the other. 90% of the time the play is going their direction. If they split, one on each side usually the play is going outside on #99 side of the line. Not saying every time but most of the time. LCM's LB's better be quick and fast to react to the ball. LCM's Offense will have to play a lot better then they have in the past against Vidor. They need to come out like they did last week and execute the best they can. If so I think they will score and stay in the game until the end to make it close game. I'll go with LCM by 6pts.

  3. Defense!! Defense!! Defense!!

Should be a lot of that going on in practice this week. LCM's DL needs to do their job of plugging holes and linebackers stay focused on the run. I'm sure they're going to be hit from all sides. Vidor will control the ball like they always do and eat up the clock. LCM needs to control the their possessions of the ball as well. But its going to come down to defensing and stopping the slot t. You would think the coaches have figured it out by now. But the question is can the coaches, coach it into the players. I think if LCM starts off like they did last week it will be a close game but they will win it. They can't do like they have in the past and dig them selves in whole that they can't get out of. Vidor controls the ball to good to be playing catch up all night.

From all accounts, that was a much better showing by the Bears.  Staff adjusted the offense to basically just running the ball.  Players showed some resilience and toughness by coming back.  I like the call going for the win.

I wasn't there but the LCM team that played against Kinkaid showed no fight and was pushed around on both sides of the ball. Even the coach admitted to it after the game. Sounds like they made the adjustment they needed to make. What ever it was they need to keep it up. They have a battled on their hands next week.

  5. I vary rarely ever say anything about coaching, but the Bears just wasn't prepared tonight at all.  Especially on defense.  They looked as if they have never seen a team run the Slot T before and they see it everyday in practice!  The defense looked clueless as to what to do. Especially in the first half.

I tell you one thing, if Dubois didn't provide them enough video to learn the slot T before he left HJ he sure provided enough video tonight to learn it before next year.

  6. Has LC-M gotten worse since dropping down classifications?

I said it earlier on another thread, from what I have observed I don't think they are playing with the same intensity. That's not just in football either. I really think they are taking dropping down for granted. But then, it could be the talent. You can only play with the cards you are dealt with.  Maybe and that's a big MAYBE after tonight somebody within the program will wake up.

  7. Congratulation BC on the win you guys were awesome. Also congrats for hanging 40 and more on LCM which I didn't think would happen if LCM would have came out playing looking as if they even practiced this week. I know that there is few LCM fans on this site but for the few, this is what we get when admin. excepts the football program to be just alright. Your not going to find to many coaching staffs to come in like BC's for what this staff is getting. LCM 17 believe me the fans in the stands and the community are the only ones that really care. BC congratulation you guys did it right. Now that's negative.

  8. yes your right I do. I have to say something positive about the team are it would be all negative. It's just upsetting to know that LCM could be a lot better. Sorry it bothers you

It's understanding you feel the way you do. If I graduated from LCM I would feel the same. And your right you don't always want to be negative but it is games like these when have to tell it like it is. I didn't know we were coming to a track meet.
