i know i am a few months late answering this, but it is artifcial turf, and it doesnt appear to be more seating, just new seating on both sides. They tore down the old stands replaced with new, Next time i go by there i can snap a pic.

Don't get me wrong, Newton is a beast of a football team and will win it all again this year, but just because they are ranked highher than a few 5A and 6A schools, doesn't mean they can beat them. Would definitely give them one heck of a fight though.

EC putting up alot of points, but giving up alot as well, giving up 30+ to Yoe or Diboll maybe a season ender. Going to have to tighten up. Can't score 80 and 50 every game.
