Hopefully he can return for their 4:30 game today.
Santa, I was not there but I would hope that since he was ejected the coach would not allow him to play anymore for this tournament to set an example and also allow him some time to reflect on his behavior.
Well, I was there and it was a bogus ejection to say the least. No need to punish him any more than missing 3/4 of the prior game. Kelton will be just fine.
I trust your opinion, that is exactly why I said I was not there......

I am still awaiting the official word and reason from the district. It should come across here shortly. So stay tuned.....
and you might be waitting for the "OFFICIAL" reason.  Takes a while to make up something.... Facts are always easy to quote!!!!!!!!
WHAT!
another words there is no reason why they should let him go.. I bet there is nothing in his write up file... can't be because of record or playoff apperences..  you can't put "because you have no backing on the board". The fact is they will have to make up a reason....  they can't just fire you for no reason... there would be a major law suit in effect if so...
Actually, you can be fired for no reason.  Texas is a right to work state.  You can be fired or quit at any time.
I have to disagree.. You have to have a reason to fire a full time employee after they have been employed for at least 90 days.
No, you do not.  Trust me.  That employee was me.  I got unemployment easily, but was told by numerous lawyers that there was no case because in Texas you can be fired for any reason or no reason at all and it is fine as long as there has been no discrimination (racial, disability, gender, etc).
I dont know about that..... were you in a teaching field when this happened??  there are insurences right now that protect teachers if they want to pay for them...
I don't believe the same thing goes for a coach/AD.
All certified Texas teachers and administrators are protected by chapter 21 rights under the Education Code.  What this means is that they are protected by a contract and yes, the Head Coach and AD would be employed under contract and therefore, he would be afforded protection from firing without cause. Texas is a right to work state and Chapter 21 rights would NOT apply to all non-contract school district employees (IE - custodial, maintenance, bus drivers, para's etc).  Nor do these rights apply to the regular work force.  Hope this clears things up for you.
My point is a Reed is a better fit for SIlsbee's offense. Not to take anything away from Drake. He is one heck of a player, but he threw 5 TD's in a game vs HJ not WOS or BC. Reed did get Silsbee to 6-0 if I recall. I guess he was good enough for those games and earned the right to start. Drake is better at wideout and saftey. Him playing QB, Saftey, Punter, Kicker, etc wears him down to much. Reed is young and has alot of growing and maturing to do. If Silsbee wants to have success outside of thier next game, they are better off leting Garret play his normal position at WR and Saftey.
Not saying anything about who needs to start or doesnt.  But you are the large school of the district.  I have a hard time believing that there isnt a young man on the team that could take over one or two of those positions, so that you could start big D as a Q/B.....if he is needed there.  A small school.......maby not.
I'm not the coach! I would agree with you if the starting QB Reed hadnt won 6 games before his injury. He doesnt pass well but he runs better than Drake. Drake passes well but isnt as fast as Reed.
Santa, for you to say that Reed fits our offense is stretching it.....and if you think for a second that Reed won those 6 games tells me that you know very little about what won those games.  Football is a team sport and that entire team has been able to step up for others shortcomings.  I have watched Reed since he was in the 7th grade and he cannot handle the pressure.  What do you think there will be in the playoffs?  Won't be mediocre teams....  I am not the coach either but I would certainly keep my options open for the future at that position.  I like Patrick but I agree with the sports guy, there is plenty of talent in Silsbee!

 10. All the talk about the Silsbee/ BC game and from what I remember WOS offense did not score on BC either until really late in the game.  Had several WOS coaches biting their nails off.  Two of the three touchdowns that WOS scored on BC were on special teams and I don't look for Silsbee to give those up..... I have to agree with what was said about the turnovers being the deciding factor in the Silsbee/BC game......I believe everyone learned from those mistakes and all the necessary corrections have been made.  I have confidence that the mustangs will find it tough to put any on the board against Silsbee defense.  Spearman could be the deciding factor in this game......
 11.
The way I see it is as follows Orange field will beat HF, BC, and HJ WOS will beat Silsbee, HJ, and BC BC will beat HJ, HF, lose to OF and WOS Silsbee will beat HJ, lose to WOS, and beat HF. Now you have WOS district champ and a 3 way tie for 2nd and 3rd. Doesn't it go based on head to head then points. Silsbee has score 15 and 0. Thoughts?
This guy obviously has no clue.....he just likes to see his posts....turn off the lights this guys elevator stopped at the basement.

And the tennis court? Really?
And Woodville's yard looks even bigger than this!  It has to be the biggest yard I've seen
 15.
I have seen this twice. At a playoff game I was waiting in a long line at the bathroom. A Kville fan lit a cigarette which he should not have done but a cop jumped on him and put him on the ground and cuffed him like he tried to kill someone. The guy claimed that he did not even relalize that he lit it that he just did it out of habit. But they drug him out of there just the same. Why not just have him put it out, give him a ticket or ask him to leave? A few years ago (may be 6) Kville fans got the same reception in Silsbee. Four cops lined up on the track looking up in the stands and one across the field with bioculars scanning the crowd. Did not give you a warm welcome feeling. First time there was a call the fans did not like it got real tense. No expanation for the high security.
I will call BS on this......I personally know this did not happen.....NOT in Silsbee
 16.

Looks like to's were the deciding factor
I totally agree. That and the fact that Silsbee could not get a single yard on three consecutive plays late in the 4th in BC territory, giving ball back over on downs, was the deciding factor in this game. Silsbee now has on the season 29 fumbles, losing 15. A total of 21 turnovers (6 int's) thru 7 games, an average of 3 per game, just will not cut it. I can live with the 6 interceptions out of over 150 pass attempts (18 passing TD's, 6 int's, very good ratio), but the 29 fumbles when we are not considered a running team, is far too careless. Silsbee has to get better with holding onto the ball.
And very few of the 29 fumbles this season were forced.  There was only one fumble against Bridge City that I would have considered a forced fumble.  Everything else was just careless.  Bridge City did what they had to do.  I will say that I was very pleased with the defense ability to stop the run.  Silsbee has way too much athletic ability to let receivers get behind them in the secondary.

 18.
Yea, your right, they are going to be amazing this year. Better?
No one said you had to be sarcastic......but there is absolutely no need to air the internal laundry on this forum.  Silsbee does have a senior leader in Caleb Henry.  They do have alot of upside with two of their pitchers returning from tommy john. Your attitude is part of the problems Silsbee has had for the last couple years..... I hope the new coach sheds the program of these attitudes!
 19.
And that will change why? You said yourself that everybody is coming back, so unless they pull a abit out of a hat I for see another leaderless season. 24. The SE Texas Gladiator 14U Red team earned the CHAMPION title of the Platninum Division at the AAYBA World Series in Flower Mound, TX. last week. There were 64 teams overall that competed seven days in 100+ degree heat.  The Gladiators started off slow at 1-2 in pool play but by mid-week they had their pitching and hitting firing on all cylinders and finished the week at 5-3.  The team had some great performances going into the Championship game allowing only 8 runs and scoring 34 after pool play. The Championship game was held at 8 pm start time on Saturday evening at Lake Park in Lewisville, TX.  Jordan Gore started the game on the mound and allowed only 4 hits and 2 earned runs in 3 1/3, Logan Chipman pitched 3 2/3 allowing only 3 hits with 6 K's.  The game was tied 5-5 bottom of the 7th bases loaded and Jordan Gore got a walk-off hit to finish the game at 6-5 with the Gladiators taking the title. Great Job Gladiator Red #42 - Colby LeBlanc - Silsbee #  1 - Jacob Kelley - Buna #  6 - Ryan Erickson - Lumberton # 34 - Ben Hodges - PNG #  7 - Jordan Gore - Silsbee # 31 - Brayden Griffin - Silsbee #  5 - Austin Brushaber - Lumberton #25 - Colin Burgason - Hamshire Fannett #11 - Logan Chipman - PNG #  8 - Corbin Coy - PNG #  9 - Brennan Beckett - East Chambers Again GREAT JOB guys..... And thanks to the coaches - Pat Ford and Derrick Spivey The Gladiators had both teams in the tournament and these coaches coached both teams for a total of 15 games.....I know it was very hot and we thank you guys!
