Hey 643 I dont want you to think Im ignoring you question but I dont really know I would think Gladtobehere would know that question or Aggi might know also
Do he doesn't work for BNSF.....
 3.

I would think Silsbee to go at this game more as a game to work on things needing to be worked on . Rather than a game to try and win. I would also think that LH could possibly be doing the same. I wouldnt look to much in who comes out the winner in this game. Rather look at what Silsbee gains from this game
Are you trying to make excuses already?
He just happens to know what the coaches plans for this game is...... We have had a starting pitcher on the DL for several weeks that will get his first start and throw for a VERY limited pitch count, then there will be a big mix of getting an inning or two for some of the guys that haven't pitched much since district started.  There is plans to get some guys some playing time and some plans to let some of the guys that are nursing some strains and sprains some rest.  No excuses needed!

 5.
Congrats to the Silsbee Tigers on the win. Good game with several changes in momentum. The Tigers made the most of a couple of breaks that went their way and got it done. Very similar to last game, the team with the fewest errors came out on the wrong end of the score. Strange how baseball works. It's awful tough to beat a good team 3 times in a row. Both teams have to put their heads down and grind out the season if there is to be a "round 3" because there is plenty of baseball left to play. Again Congrats to Tigers on the "W". Rake1
Great post, Rake..... And I agree no one needs to get ahead of themselves, LOTS OF BASEBALL LEFT, to even talk about a game 3 this season..... One game at a time.
 6. First let me start off by tipping the hat to Buna!!!!  Kolton Clark pitched an outstanding game!  He did an excellent job of locating both his fastball and his curveball and threw them both for strikes!! I said in the other thread that Silsbee would not overlook anyone and I meant that, this Buna team is scrappy and will work to find a way to win!  My hats off to you again! Now, Silsbee did have some bright spots in this game, they showed some intestinal fortitude when they were faced with being down in this game and Jordan Gore was just plain clutch at the plate!!!!  His last AB when down in 0-2 count with 2 outs and Garcia at 3rd to continue to foul off pitches until he got the game tying 1B was CLUTCH!!!  His HR the AB before was on a rope as well!!!  Great job getting it done at the plate Jordan!  Silsbee only had 5 hits the entire game and Buna had 4........  Good luck Buna!  Now let's go TIGERS!!!!
 7.

Silsbee has scored 10, 19, 12, and 15 runs in last 4 games (avg. of 14 runs a game). Given up 11 runs (2.75 per game) Tigers have scored 80 runs in their 7 district games (11.4 per game). This leads 21-3A.
I agree, Silsbee has the best lineup in the district, more kids have good swings than any other lineup I have seen, and I have seen them all.  But let's be honest about this, most (a lot) of those run rules have been scored as a result of defensive errors.  Now I credit the silsbee bats with putting the ball in play with force, force that created forced errors, but I also know from 2 games I have seen: silsbee vs Buna, and Wo-s that both losing teams had numerous defensive chances to stay in the ball game.  Admittedly, Silsbee does seem to be a little out of of everyone's league across the board athletically, and shouldnt they be with the enrollment numbers year after year.  Schools like BC and even Buna and OF to a degree represent themselves nicely in my opinion with nearly 1/2 the athletes to choose from.  BC definitely has the edge right now on pitching development and silsbee does have the bats which makes for the obvious great match up. Buna will not dazzle you with pitching right now, but they will fight till the end, their bats have been lively at times, but not consistantly, and the defense has yet to form an identity, boys have been playing all over the field.  I think they will figure it out.  Sure silsbee is the favorite, but by no means untouchable as some have suggested, they may want to be careful before they just start overlooking teams.......like Buna.
Not overlooking anyone.... I guarantee that!
 8.
So who is considered Buna's ace? I have seen most of their games and I'm not sure who our ace is. Several arm issues on the team.
If you have seen most of their games, what order do you place the Buna pitchers? I know Kelly has been out with arm problems but not sure of the rest....
 9. And by the way rake, Silsbee flat out swung it against Duplant the first time..... He didn't start but he did come into the ame with zero (0) outs in the first inning
 10. Both teams saw Livingston ace in Lantrip...... BC lost 5-0, Silsbee won 5-2.  That is a guy that throws upper 80's to 90 Silsbee did see Crain and Gunstream in the first game and then Crain and Permenter in the second.  Crain was touted as the ace of Orangefield pitching staff last season, have not seen Braxton throw this season but last time I saw him both he and Crain had pretty close to the same stuff.  Crain just came from the left side. For that matter Silsbee had 9 hits against BC ace in Guidry.  BC had only 3 hits in whole game.  One of those was a costly 3 run HR.  Silsbee ended the first matchup against BC with 11 hits to BC 3.  With both aces starting......
 11.
Silsbee will roll I'm sure. Probably the best line up BC has seen next to College Station this year
+1
 12.
I doubt it very seriously.... HJ made error after error. Silsbee did hit the ball, cant take that away... State??? Really??? Cmon dude...
Yes there were 7 HJ errors in that game BUT there were 16 Silsbee HITS!
 13. For Silsbee - Garcia started and pitched 1 gave up 2 ER                   Griffin pitched 4.0 with 6 k / 0 hits Not sure who started for HJ but I think Robertson, then Duplant then Edelmon and not sure who the last guy was Silsbee had like 16 hits
 14. Jordan Gore -JR Silsbee hit number 4 tonight!
 15.
Do the Tigers save Powell for HJ on Thursday? ..... Hmmmmmm Could the long rest make him rusty... Either way I thnk the Tigers should run rule the horns in 5.
Powell throws tonight..... Still have plenty for HJ on Thursday!!

 18.
I could keep responding to you but instead I will once again apologize for having the score wrong and how it impacted the outcome of the game and how it impacted you and your family. If memory serves me right that is the first time in 12 years I have had the wrong score for a story, and I have wrote one or two in those 12 years.
I could accept that it was a mistake and that you had other things going on if it were not for your smart ___ overtone.  It did not impact me or my family in particular.
 19.
Hey Gabe, maybe Gladtobehere should start writing the articles for the Orange Leader. ::)
No SoloCup, I could never get that one sided Orange spin right...... LOL I so sorry that a report cannot be held accountable, the story was wrong, I intended to just set the record straight......
 20.
Hard to believe we lost when BC had more errors than hits! crazy. Baseball's a funny sport! You can hit all night but if you cant get the runners across the plate you cant win. Our big hitters needed to step up with runners in scoring position and, 7th inning aside, we just couldn't do it. Come back hungry and get em next time boys!
That is where you have to tip your hat to Guidry, he got it done when he had to...... Silsbee didn't help themselves but he did what he had to..

Score was 5-4
Someone needs to tell Gladtobehere if YOU'RE going to read my story then make a comment like this one, please spell my name the correct way. It is Pruett. See how that works? I apologize for the painful mistake I made and the damages it caused you and your family. It has been corrected and I am sending flowers. I apologize for helping my stepdaughter with homework while at the same time writing the story. Once again, accept my apology. It certainly changed the outcome of many people's lives. On a far more serious note, Silsbee pitcher Tyler Powell was tremendous last night. Kudos to that kid.
:'( :'( :'( In other words don't rely on information from the Orange Leader.
