1. In San Augustine's 3 losses at full strength, they have given up 72, 78 and 81 pts.  That seems to be your best bet to beat San Augustine is to outgun them.  That doesn't bode we'll for teams with a lack of depth.  Because when your guys start getting a step slower, SA is running in fresh legs.  I heard from someone at the game that Broaddus did a good job against West Sabine on the boards, and that is something else that could hurt the Tigers.  San Augustine rebounds the ball very well, especially on the offensive end.  And for a team that thrives in their pressure defense, giving them extra opportunities to score and set it up doesn't bode we'll either.  San Augustine has seen and beat just about every look so far this season.  Teams had tried to run with them and failed.  Teams have tried to slow them down and failed.  I don't mean this as a negative against any team, but in all reality San Augustine's play, and not anyone else's is going to determine the outcome of the game.
2. Nice win for West Sabine.  Gonna see just how good they are Tuesday when San Augustine rolls into town.  I think San Augustine's depth will be the difference...they can run 10 guys at ya and stay after you for the entire game.
3. SA 109 Pineywoods 12 66-4 at halftime. San Augustine starters played about 10 minutes a piece total.  San Augustine pressed for about 3 minutes total.
4. Yes San Augustine is getting a new football complex and band hall.  Old stands are coming down as we speak. New Stadium will have 8 lane track, field house at about 10,000 square feet, artificial turf playing surface.  Going to be very very nice.
5. Was pulling for Deweyville in this one.  Wish you guys could have pulled it out! Keep your heads up ya'll had one heck of a season! And many bright seasons to come.
6. No doubt San Augustine is going to have to play their best game...but their best game is good enough to beat Mart.  As for mart, yes their skill kids are young, but 8 of the 11 kids #50-79 they had dressed out tonight were listed as seniors.
7. San Augustine has their biggest test of the season in front of them Friday night.  A win and they have a legitimate shot of getting there.
8. There ain't no way in heck Mart was gonna drive all the way to Lufkin and play in San Augustine's back yard.
9.

Mart is very good. WS giving up the edge too easily on defense. Offensively west Sabine has moved up and down the field just absolutely killing themselves in mart territory
they cant key in on that RB. Gotta gang tackle, Mart is fast
Mart has a lot to do with it but WS linebackers are nowhere to be found.

11.
What kind of team does Axtell has beside making the play-offs? :)
Don't have any studs but as a tam play good solid football.  Run the Ga Tech offense and run it well.  Man for man San Augustine will have better athletes an football players, but they still have to go out there and get the job done.  SA is going to have to get Axtell out of their comfort zone early or its gonna be a dogfight
12. Not trying to deflate anyone's party...but you won't out physical Alto. They'll light your rear up in a hurry
13. Friday @ 7:30 in Crockett.  San Augustine is the visiting team.  San Augustine will be faster man for man at every position.  I think San Augustine will have plenty of success on offense.  However, they are going to have to play solid, disciplined defense.
14. San Augustine Vs Axtell Friday 7:30pm San Augustine will be the visiting team
15. Not a lot of speed on the field for either team. Not a lot of size either. Kids are playing hard though
16. I honestly think we see a completely different team than Thursday night on center.  That was the worst I have seen west Sabine all season.  I look for a much better effort from the tigers, otherwise it is going to be a very long night.  Mart is going to score, just a matter of can west Sabine keep up with them.
17. San Augustine ran all over Alto...to the tune of over 450 rushing yards.  Alto only stopped San Augustine 2 maybe 3 times all night.  San Augustine let Alto back in the game simply because they turned the ball over on two very ugly interceptions (a big under throw on an out route and a slant that hit the wr in the chest and popped up).  Alto was throwing the kitchen sink at San Augustine defensively and never found an answer.  Now I have not seen Hull-Daisetta, but I can say this about alto.  They don't mind playing smash mouth football and they don't mind getting into a shoot out with you.  They can ground and pound and run the clock, and they can spread ya out and play at a very rapid pace.  They have some big boys up front, and they will hit you on defense.
18. West Sabine didn't play well for about the first 35 minutes or so. Just didn't look like there normal selfs. Had numerous close call fumbled and bad snaps that just happened to bounce West Sabines way. Congrats on the win but are going to have to play much better next week.
19.
Your right, turf. [Hidden Content]
oo oo oo I win! I win! I was right!
20. I think it'll be close early but Alto pulls away late. They just keep coming at you non stop for 4 quarters. Their biggest adversity right now is their health.

Hull-Daisetta will get Alto, mark it down.  Harleton hasn't seen a team of Alto's caliber to date.  I'm gonna go on a limb and say they try to play this one in Lufkin.
Play the HD game in Lufkin?
Ya sorry wasn't to specific there. Yes that's where I would presume they would try to play it. That's the nicest stadium as close to a midpoint as possible with turf.  If they don't mind grass I could see diboll.  Outside chance of going to Sam Houston state but I doubt it.
