1. I think west Sabine takes it.  Gotta a little of their swagger back the last 2 weeks
2.
They didn't just BEAT Colmesneil... They beat everyone in their district handily. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but Daisetta is a very good team. They are clicking on all cylinders and maybe need to fix a few mental mistakes and that's it. Congrats to the Bobcats on a district championship when you were chosen last entering this season.
I didn't say they weren't a good team.  You said this game shows they are a legitimate playoff contender. I disagree that this game makes them a legitimate contender. To people outside of the Hull-Daisetta faithful, Hull-Daisetta is the weakest of the district champions in region 3 by no fault of their own simply by the district they are in.
3. Need an update? The final score has huge implications on the playoffs outta this district!
4.
Great win tonight. Some shady calls an no calls in this game. The back ups were put in a little early in my opinion or this score would have been much more lopsided. Bulldogs didn't stop fighting though. Figuratively and physically. Overall a great win by the Bobcats. This game should show that the Bobcats are a legitimate playoff contender. Prayers go out to Dustin Welch. Hopefully you make a speedy recovery.
First off speedy recovery to the kid! 2nd, congratulations to Hull-Daisetta for getting the district championship.  All you can do is beat the teams UIL places you with and you guys did that handily. 3rd though, beating Colmesneil does not make you a legitimate playoff contender.  I am not saying Hull-Daisetta isn't, but this win doesn't tell us one way or the other.
5. SA wins 35-3. Starters got ALOT of rest tonight. Was 35-0 at the half
6. Both teams control their own destiny, win and you are in.  Pulling for the Pirates and Coach Keel in this one.
7. Hd with a bye Iola likely Axtell, Colmesneil gets Bosqueville/Mart loser
8. I'll say this for HD, the best thing they have going for them is who they have as the head coach. It doesn't matter what I think about him, but you have to admit, he can g his kids to play.  Now as far as who HD is gonna catch, I'd start preparing for the black and gold yellow jackets this week.  They are going to be an angry bunch from here on out for not getting that district championship.  I'll say this, game film doesn't do them justice.  They took it to a whole different level against San Augustine.  Absolutely the most physical game I have seen this year.  There was some serious popping going on.  The biggest thing when playing against Alto is 1) they are never out of it, but 2) you cannot go cold on offense.  San Augustine had about a 3 series stretch from the last drive of the 1st half to the first 2 of the 2nd and it went from 35-13 to 36-35 in 1 quarter.  And it was 80% Alto's doing and not necessarily SA playing bad.
9.
We can't chose the district we play in. All we can do is roll through it, which is what we've done. That's why we played a tough pre-district schedule with teams like Groveton, Kountze and Deweyville. The only 1A teams we played were Lovelady and Normangee who were a combined 19-6 last year. We will be ready for Alto if that's who we get in the 2nd round. HD may not win but I promise you it'll be a ball game. We'll be even better next year with 90% of our starters being underclass men. HD Nation!!
You are exactly right, HD has done all that they can do with the cards that they were dealt them.  They have handily beat their district opponents thus far.  And you are right Hd is going to play hard because that is what Coach Finney teams do.  Unfortunately for HD they are probably not going to get a fair assessment of their season.  They just have an absolutely tough draw.  To get out of this region HD will have to go through a top 10 ranked team to do it.  For all we know HD could be a top 15-20 team...they just happen to be in a region with 5-6 teams that have all spent significant time in the top 10.
10. The bracket is 95% solidified after tonight's contest and is as follows Joaquin-bye Colmesneil vs Bosqueville/Mart loser Hull-Daisetta-bye Alto vs Harleton San Augustine-Bye Axtell vs Iola Mart/Bosqueville winner-bye West Sabine vs Timpson
11. Blown coverage??? SA scored running the ball. How does that translate to blown coverage?? Come on man? And SA held west Sabine to 150 yards of offense, that's called shutting an offense down my friend. Alto is very good but SA has the tools to beat them if they put it all together. Gonna be a dog fight either way
12. In West Sabines defense, those were two very good football teams they just lost to. This district has a very good chance of producing the region 3 champion
13. 6-2 San Augustine at the half. Snap over head on 4th down resulted in safety
14. You all know that you cannot play the score comparison game.  ESPECIALLY when dealing with teenagers.  As for the district, yes I believe Hull-Daisetta will win the district.
15. Another website with updates had it 46-22 Tenaha from a reliable source
16. Pirates roll into district with this one.  They are looking more and more like a playoff team this year.
