It’s ok. I had also reached out to support through the website. Long story short just got overlooked in a shuffle. Transitioned my account from online only to the magazine and online subscription and somewhere in the chain it got missed. Apologies were made and I can appreciate that and move on. DCTF is a big venture and mistakes happen. like I’ve said before, I love the online stuff and had been doing the online subscription. With the magazine getting harder each year to find I figured I’d switch to the subscription that included the magazine to save myself some hassle. DCTF isn’t losing me, i just needed to vent. And I got the apology/ explanation so all is good.

Much appreciated response. 3A-1 District 10. You are correct that the website has the full write ups. It looks like the editors literally just cut everything out for the district teams down to 1 sentence from the full write up. Disappointing that the other districts that correspond to our area in 3A-2, 2A-1 and 2A-2 all have the full write ups in the magazine but I do understand space limitations. And I also think understand everyone can’t be pleased. I know it’s griping but I do appreciate DCTF and the team and the coverage they provide for Texas high school football. Was just sour opening the magazine, and it didn’t help that it was almost a full month after seeing it blow up on social media of many others receiving theirs early. Like I said, the subscription is more than just the magazine and the online stuff knocks it our of the park every week.

You could’ve been like me and pay to be a subscriber and get the magazine early, it not come until August 1st…and then read a whopping 1 sentence about your team and every team in your teams district. Definitely makes the membership seem worth it… I do enjoy the perks of the year round articles…but that entire districts write ups were bad. And before the rebuttal of “they can only write what the coaches provide”. I asked, he wasn’t thrilled about it either and said he filled out the questionnaire with quite a bit more detail but he can’t control what people say (or don’t) in a magazine.

I’m just going to respectfully disagree with anyone who thinks Scott Surratt isn’t one of the best coaches in the state of Texas. He turned Carthage into the powerhouse that they are. Guarantee you he could replicate his success at multiple places.

Didn’t get to watch this game, but from reading everything And talking to so family that we’re there I think we can see what a difference experience makes. EC is a senior laden team that’s been there done that. Woodville is playing a large amount of sophomores and a couple of freshmen. Think this could wind up being a good game for both teams. EC has to be proud of their offensive effort, but defensively Woodville seemed to have been able to move the ball quite well but made some key mistakes that you can’t afford to do against good teams. Woodville can come out feeling like cleaning up the self inflicted mistakes could result in a scary ball club. And EC can come out seeing that they still have some things to work on and not be too overconfident.

Put me down for shocked by this one. Nice win for Huntington. Thought coldspring had a shot to win the district.

I went and found this one online to watch. WR for LCM (#14 I think) made some really impressive catches. Every time the ball went his way it seemed like he caught it. Woodville gonna be pretty salty eventually too. best I could count. only 2 seniors on offense and 2 seniors on defense getting significant minutes.
