Nederland has a very underrated defense.  After the bomb exploded in the first qtr, PAM only had 1 real big play in the game.  I believe they held them to under 300 yards total offense.  Specifically impressed with the job Soph Noah Lewis did in man coverage on Jones.  Hes turning into a kid you can roll the dice with against the opposing teams best receiver and he has the size to battle some of the taller receivers in the district.  

No, I for one understand and I believe you raise a valid point.  There is a difference between showing pride in your community and engaging in good natured ribbing and just being plain mean.  And I will tell what I mean, in this week leading up to this weekends game we have had, among other things, Vidorians subjected to talk about "white sheets," Port Arthur folks subjected to talk that they live in a ghetto and one board member who had his child rearing skills questioned.  And there is probably more that I just didn't happen to see.
When it gets to that point, it is just plain senseless, and more and more threads are getting to that point.
It's sad.

It's funny how grown men argue over abunch of kids playing a game. Really? I enjoy watching and talking about it with my son, but these are kids playing a game. I know I have gotten upset about some of my son's baseball games and have stayed upset long after he had gotten over it, stupid. Don't get more upset than the kids who are actually playing.

Bulldogs have calmed down and played much better this quarter.  Snowball got away from them in the 1st,

PNG has a new Supt. That deals with enrollment. Heard he has cracked down on people falsely enrolled in the district. As a tax payer I am happy for this. You want to live here, be a tax payer!!! 

Guys, if I read the articles and the tweets correctly, the act of "self reporting" has not occurred yet, but will happen on Wednesday when they report the UIL's ruling on Laday's eligibility to the 22-5A DEC. 
While it may matter to some for their own reasons, for the purposes of this meeting, it does not.  If it matters to Nederland ISD, they'll look into it further.  But to continue into speculation as to what Neumann did and did not do is getting no one anywhere.
So I guess given the track this thread is taking, it is time to close it.

That would be a stupid thing to do, why would he risk potentially forfeiting a district game if he wasn't sure if the kid was eligible?  After they self-reported the issue he  sat out until there is an official ruling.

In Neumann's defense we don't know weather or not he knew or didn't know and we won't know unless he comes out and admits it so anything we say about that is rumors and I think thats against the rules.

Both games were good but, the second was a nail bitter. Gave real meaning to the phrase "up to the last second."

That is encouraging, I think Ned was.playing with their backup QB, starter got knocked out last week abd was having a big.year
