As for this sign that was displayed it was not necessary, and kinda stupid but was it racist I don't know what was in the hearts of the punks that displayed it so I can't say for sure. I will tell you one thing that does offend me, the city of Vidor has come along way in race relations and a lot of that credit go's to sports and the interaction that young men and women of Vidor have had with all races of young people in competitive sports. I for one am heart sick that some small minded folks wont let the good people of Vidor live down the past....we are not the same town of 20 or 30 yrs. ago. I would stand side by side with my black brothers against real racism but some of the so called racism that offends people today most of the strong black men and women I know would laugh at it on go on. I know this was a rant....but I fell strongly about this subject.

Yea, I hope and pray Matt Menard is ok after that hit he took at the goal line in the Vidor game. He got up very slowly and I know he didn't seem the same after that hit he took to the helmet.

Great post, I believe in that 100 %! One of the things that I LOVE is that this year's Vidor Pirates have seemed to have come together as a complete team, and not just a bunch of individuals. Win or Lose they do it as a team......Pirate Pride!!!

We have talent in some familiar names Lil Will, Red Haywood, D. Some times that get pretty wrong, but I think all in all they do a good job I'm just glad they cover high school sports but you know the real source for high school sports is SETXsports.....these guys are pretty accurate and if they do make a mistake or oversight somebody is quick to correct it.......that's why my first stop for sports news and information is right here.

One's a sr. and the other one's a jr.......both bring their own unique Athletic abilities and their getting better with each game. and yea they both have been seeing plenty of playing time on both sides of the ball.....tuff young men those 2!!  Proud of them, and the O/L and defense are playing outstanding football.

If the Pirates stay focused and take care of the little things, execute the fundamentals of their offense and defense, HOLD ON TO THE BALL and get a grip on those Penalties (7-65 against the the Cardinals) they should be ok. I know that the cats are down this year but imo that doesn't matter, What does matter is how well they play the game Friday night, the Pirates better not over look Kirbyville for one second I don't believe Vidor will be reaching for that "easy button" in this one. With that being said I know that these two teams will play with a lot of pride and give 100% for 48 min.........Go Pirates

Pathetic....The kids have no chance in life if that's what their role models are like. These coaches and parents need to take a long hard look at themselves. Thank goodness my son played youth football coached by real men, I understand the raw emotion of the game of football but....... come on man. Is it getting to the point were you have to have an off duty cop at Pop Warner games now?

I don't mind the rain we certainly need some......just keep the lightning away!!!
