2.                                           Headlines:  Tornado season in question this year. No Tornado touchdowns sighted in Galveston during Jag game as Central blew away any hopes of a Galveston Ball win.    ;D
 3. If your wondering how this thread became about Nederland GoDogs27, go back and read your first post on this thread you are the one who brought up Ned. So it seems to me your the one who thinks it always has to be about Ned. This thread had nothing to do with Ned. until you jacked the thread, it was about coach Mathews.........get over yourself man.

Stretcher and paramedics on the field. Sorry no name
#3 Brandon Polfus true on the Dislocated Elbow.
Ouch......I know that hurts  :(  praying for a speedy recovery Brandon.
 6. Way to go Justin, best of luck in the future and stay healthy.  8)
 7.
Newsflash: Nederland does not consider Vidor to be a rival. We still don't even consider Vidor to be relevant. And Vidor bets Nederland on a consistent basis? What constitutes a "consistent basis"? How many time over the last 10-20 years? How many playoff appearances?  Vidor gets hyped up to play Ned every year for some reason. Rest assured, we have our own rivalry game to contend with..
I got a Newsflash for ya GoDogs27, the 24-14 but kicking Vidor gave Nederland last year was pretty relevant......don't you think
 8. Headline:  Broncos fans a little hoarse. After complaining about a Broncos loss to Angleton 2 years in a row
 9. HEADLINE: Dogs choke on the Flex bone. Barbers Hill scores 49 and, Beats the Bulldogs one more time. With a knick-knack, paddy whack, And a good flex bone, They send them Dogs a-limping home.  ;D
 10. I'll tell ya what offense I hate.........the punt oriented offense.  ;)

I like their confidence. Last year they were sure they were going to beat us just because they had the numbers to wear us down. That did not work so well. This year they are firing on all cylinders and playing like a team and you have to respect the confidence that comes with that.  The Cats will be in it to win it and I hope this is thier week to shine.
kville68 see if you can talk them cats into waiting till after the Vidor game to do their shining....... ;D
Well VP as much as I would like for the Cats to help you out in the spirit of good sportmanship and all.........I would like even more for them to beat the breaks off of the Pirates.  ;D  Seriously yall look good this season. One of the guys that works with me is a Vidorian and he came to Kville last year, sat on the home side and took his lumps. I will do the same this year if I have to but I would rather see him eating a big 'oll crow samich if I have my way. Good luck to both teams. It should be a good game
Totally understand kville68.... 8)  Looking forward to good game. P.S  good game = a Pirate win    lol  ;D
 12. Got to give props to the Bears, so far you guys are playing some good football.
 13. Deepest Condolences and prayers from Vidor.

Thoughts and prayers to these folks.
I agree!
Hey Buddy, you could always try a rain dance......in case you would like to try here's how you do it.......this info was passed down to me by an old PNG Indian. How To do A Rain Dance: 1. Never do a rain dance on a hill. 2. Make sure you have a lot of room so you don't run into anything. 3. Spin around in clockwise circles. 4. Make up your own rain chant.  It should be rythmical and easy to say fast. 5. Yell your rain chant while spinning around in circles. 6. If you are trying to get rid of rain, spin in counterclockwise circles and say your chant backwards.                             ;D ;D

 17.
I hate the spread as well. Football is won and lost in the trenches. Let those hogs run block and win you the game.  Let them still work when running screen passes.  They also get some of that run blocking when doing playaction passes.  Now THAT'S footall.  Not that sandlot stuff they love to do now.
I agree Soulja.......An offense is only as good as its offensive line and a defense with a good defensive line, and mediocre athletes at all other positions will beat the offense with a poor offensive line, and absolute studs every else. And if you have the depth for rotation on the line.....lights out parties over. It is very hard to win a game if you get dominated on both sides of the trenches.

 19.

That may actually be taken racial in that context...  at a football game.  Was this other team majority or all African American?  If so, and if this other team was majority or all non African American, no doubt, it's racial.  Now, I get that all the time.  People say 'bro' all the time.  I don't take offense to it.  You talk on the phone to people that you've never met and you may not sound like the typial 'white' guy, they assume you are a Black guy.  They'll call you bro to let you know that they know that you are Black, which does not bother me the least bit.  Back to the subject at hand.  If a team that just beat my Jags (Central is majority African American boys) and that other team was a mainly white team, that would rub me and probably most of the comunity the wrong way simply because of the specific situation.  the point is that it's certain situations that determines this, IMHO.
But Soulja--I grew up in a majority Cajun community in Lafayette LA. back in the 60's.  Every body was "bro" then.  I kind of wish we could think that way once again without being offensive.  Also, why does a particular race get to decide when a certain term is to be considered racial?
Wouldn't that be Breaux ?  ;D
lol.....I guess that depends on what side of the Sabine you come from........ ;)
 20. So which is better the power running game or the spread? I've always lived by the creed that if there was only one that worked all the time, everyone would be doing it. Paul "Bear" Bryant is considered arguably the greatest college coach of all time (Power Running game), Steve Spurrier was infamously labeled as the "evil genius" during his tenure as the head coach of the Florida Gators during the 90's. His schemes were labeled as almost unstoppable (Spread Attack). Personally, at the end of the day it all goes back to one thing in my opinion. It's not about the X's and the O's, but the Jimmy and the Joes
 21. Don't get mad Bro, get even........nothing racist about that attitude, and that's my motto      8) 8)
 22. Vidor is playing with a purpose this yr. and I am seeing some young men that are playing as a TEAM with a lot of confidence, but I don't think for one second that coach Mathews and his staff or players think they have this game already won. Vidor has a lot of respect for the Wildcats and the program and pride they have in themselves, so the Pirates are not over looking this game at all. Vidor may look better on paper so far this season......but we all know that football games aren't won on paper but on the field. Kirbyville aint gonna roll over in this game, even though they are rebuilding this yr. they still have athletes and play makers that can bring it to you. I'm still rooting for my Pirates to win this one big.....but I'm also praying for an injury free game and for two teams that will play hard and at the last tick of the clock will walk off the field with mutual respect for each other..........Go Pirates
 23. Here's a comment for ya, Vidor would have beat BC no matter what the weather conditions were, on grass, turf, or asphalt. Go back and look at the stats people......BTW football is played in all types of weather, if you guys want to make excuses for BC maybe they should just forfeit games not played in perfect conditions. Oh and Vidor has as much chance of making the playoffs in this yrs' 20-4A district as any other team.
 24. Hey guys, which 20-4A team in your opinion is the most difficult to predict where they'll end up in week 10, considering everyone stays healthy.
