I thought state tourney games used to be Thursday not Wednesday. Is this the case or am I senile? AAW why did things change ??

I'm not naming names but saying in addition to several likely spots on the 21-3A all-district team there is also someone from Silsbee on the all-district 20-4A First team! So as you can see there is a lot of baseball talent in the town of Silsbee.

Congratulations to the Tigers on making it to state! Also kind of interesting considering one of the best baseball players in the city plays for another high school  :)

Are her daughters going with her? I heard they were going to be good.

I am not talking about the good years under Credeur. They went from spread and I to just the I and then from the I to the Wing-T in a three year timespan. from 2010-2012

Is this Jarrod Morris related to the superintendent Pamela Morris? If so it would explain A LOT

I'm guessing the defense will take a step back but at least offensively Haynes will be consistent. Lumberton probably switched up the offense too much under the previous coach and that is hard for high school kids.

What is Foreman's staff looking like? Who are the coordinators and top assistants?

Where did Shera go?

What about former player Ramona Jones Locke?

Where did Henderson go?

I don't know why they won't play it in Woodville either. Neutral/central location and nice field. Huntsville is way out of the way for Silsbee. Too far I think and it would throw them off. Rice doesn't make sense either. Also, does Silsbee have a third starter if it goes to three games?

I am not taking away anything from Nederland's pitching. Sandersons, the quarterback and the other starting pitcher are solid. My concern is whether or not Nederland can score runs against good quality pitching. I heard that Hutto did not have any good pitching. That's all I was trying to say.

I heard from someone at the last game that Hutto was the worst 2nd round opponent he has ever seen! Will be a big change of pace in the type of pitching the Dogs will see this game. I have a feeling if they give up more than 2 runs in any game they won't be able to win it.

Talent yes but no speed. That's the problem. None of them boys have running from the cops type speed.

If Vidor's OC is headed to H-J as the new coach there the Pirates are in need of a new OC. Mathews doesn't call the plays so this is a pretty pivotal position for them. here are some guys that could be possiblitlies. 1. Brian Huckabay- former Orangefield head coach who is now OC at Hull-Daisetta and runs the Slot-T. Is friends with Mathews and both from Bridge City so they'd probably work together well. Will be seamless transition as they run the same offense. Huckaby is a masterful play caller. 2. Greg Neece- Probably on borrowed time in Kirbyville so why not get back to doing what he does best- running an offense . Plus he already lives in Vidor so it will be a shorter commute for him. Only complication is the Wing-T is what he runs but it isn't too far off from Mathews' slot-T. 3. More than likely Vidor will not have the money for an experienced OC and Mathews will promote some random assistant already on the staff.

He did have success at Westbuy and Willowridge. Spread guy so I don't think too much will change at Ozen. Is kind of interesting that for the second year in a row Rodney has brought in a coach that somebody else didn't want. Crosby's Flanigan and now North Crowley's Magee.

They are getting an experienced hire. I am hearing Keeath Magee

Congrats to EC but you've got to feel for those AP kids as that is a tough way to lose a game. I remember a team losing in the regional final last year because of a similar type call.

This is the perfect matchup/scenario for Nederland! Brian English will have the adjustment's to counter Georgetown and lead the Dogs to the regional tournament for the second time in the past three years
