Is Liberty graduate Donald Douglas in the running?

I think they should look at Center's Kevin Goodwin for this job: succesful up and coming coach who has worked at the high school and college level. Has ties to the area after previously working at WO-S.

What makes you think Central will get someone better? Saveat has made some awful hires Most recently he brought in a guy who 4A Crosby no longer wanted to coach 5A West Brook and he took a perfectly good football program that had made the playoffs seven years in a row and turned it into a doormat. Saveat has hired is nephew as Ozen basketball coach and Robert Lee as Central basketball coach both of which squander talented teams year in and year out by their inability to coach. He hired John Clayton at Ozen and Jackson at Central. He allowed Stump and Stowers to get away all though those were probably beyond his control. Letting Washington go was the right move but they also should have done the same with the man who gave him an extra year.

Kevin Goodwin of Center would be a good hire for this one. A younger succesful coach, good guy, good football mind, would be able to motivate and inspire the guys there while implementing an actual system

If Reliant is serious about hosting more HS playoff football games (which I would assume cause they got that new turf) then maybe they should stop scheduling silly basketball tournaments there in December.

seems to me like Dawson coaches should have focused more time on fundamentals and discipline and less on the 30 different formations they used last night on offense.

They need Hopkins back next week. I like Taylor's speed and athleticism and hurdling back there at RB but we need him fresh for defense.

Yes Dawson's home field is "The Rig" in Pearland. This is a neutral site despite being 15 minutes from Dawson.

I feel bad for Cody Robbins and the Nederland jr high coaches because they are probably going to have to make a long drive to scout this one.

Tomball should have gone to the 2-3 zone earlier. Why hasn't this been moved to the basketball board?

Last year Dawson had a balance between running and passing. This year their passing game isn't as good. That Upchurch WR is a stud though. Nederland can stop the run and make it a ballgame. Also want to get Raines on a lot of QB runs because the QB at Friendswood absolutely destroyed Dawson with his running. Nederland 17, Dawson 14

Raines is a competitor and seems to up his play the bigger the competition gets. You'll get that version against Dayton again.

I am not quite sure why a team from Austin is in our "region" but none the less I think Nederland wins it. I doubt Connally has seen a team with a defense as good as Ned's.
