Nederland’s should not even be in discussion per the issues (grass, wear and tear) that we already know. I doubt PN-G would want to let PAM into its stadium for home games. LU seems like a win for all sides. Good recruiting exposure for Lamar and a chance to make money for a cash strapped athletic department. PA should provide buses for its fans and students to attend these games.

Marquis Saveat didnt get PA so maybe he would be interested? Heard he is also a good football coach which is most important priority at WOS

If you are a baseball first school you should have something to back it up just like Silsbee does as a basketball school and same for Hj and Kountze. when is the last time BC went to state in baseball? Heck, have they even made a regional final since 2006? What Im getting at here is that the head football /AD should have full support and should not play second fiddle to any other sport. Good luck to BC and hope they get a good one

Coach from East Chambers (ex Louisiana HS basketball coach) would be a good hire for this job if they can lure him over there

They gave football to an Ozen coach, girls basketball to an Ozen coach. It's kind of like they have to give this to a Central coach or outsider to avoid bias and political backlash. No-win situation.

She's taken a team farther than Paul/Thomas have in the playoffs

I always thought he did a good job over there. When they'd play Nederland in the playoffs the crowd they brought was always so sparse. Didn't seem like they had a lot of fan support.

I thought the new gym was already fine for 6A basketball. Also, does Taylor have pictures of somebody or what? How does this guy keep getting good jobs in BISD without anything to back it up.

And when questioned by the media refused to comment and deferred to the board president who voted in favor of the hire. That was pretty chickenshit. If you are a public elected official and you make a vote in a public setting like that, then you should be obligated to explain it and those two board members did not. I am fine with them voting against the hire if they at least provide a reason to back it up: no head coaching experience, preferred another candidate, didn't like the process, etc.

A big requirement of head coach/AD at HF is dealing with politics. Nelson should have plenty of experience with that coming from BISD. Different type of politics but you see what I mean

Just curious if anybody in the know is aware of whether or not Beaumont United has decided on a fight song. Ozen's was Michigan and Central's was some variation of Notre Dame's. Wonder what is going to be picked for the new school?
