Keep in mind though that there are going to be several capable black coaches available for this job that have missed out on other jobs at major colleges because of those colleges' instiutional racism. Black coaches also have a much shorter leash than white coaches so a black coach that got fired from a job might not deserve it as much as a white coach who did.

What a great year for McNeese men and women winning conference in the same year. I like the idea of Penders. I think he could do well here. Also like UT asst coach Rodney Terry.

Lincoln can match Ozen's athleticism. I doubt Canyon can.

Canyon is a better matchup for Ozen than Lincoln. I'm guessing they will be a better version of Barbers Hill.

Roc still has a year left on his deal. LU is too cheap to buy him out. He is not going anywhere. He has friends in high places. I promise you. Not buying tickets next year isn't going to make a difference because nobody buys tickets to the game anyway. If you want Roc gone then pony up the cash for the buyout or offer up money for a more suitable replacement.

Watched Angleton play in a tournament this year. They are flat out terrible. Ozen wins by 15-20 points. Huntsville takes the region.

Has Central ever made it to the region tournament? I remember Ozen girls making it under Saveat but don't know if Central has.

I don't care how good a coach is in the regular season. It is all about what they do in the playoffs. I do not know who the coaches are or anything about them. Just seems to me that if this team is 'solid' as one poster said then they should have got past the second round.

WHy are they playing this all the way over in Aldine? Barbers Hill has better coaching so they will win this game

Central doesn't have a huge player inside and doesn't have a shooter. too many weaknesses IMO
