1. Neither team has much of a defense. Kountze is going to use their offense to eat up clock. The Kountze offense is well-coached and does a good job of executing. I like the Lions in this one.
2. That's Bigger than Provost Umphrey
3. They beat Jasper 42-14 or somethin like it. I think former UT running back Ivan Williams is an asst over there
4. in the paper Stump said he thinks Goodman will wind up playing DT in college. I agree.
5. I would rather not see these highlights. If I wanted to see an assault i would drive to South Beaumont
6. If BC scores it is going to be because of a missed assignment or missed tackle from Kirbyville. If the KVille defense executes properly there is no way Bridge City will score on them.
7. The Kirbyville DC needs to have Caleb Cucancic spy Matt Menard the whole game. That will shut him down. Prediction: Kirbyville 34, BC 0
8. Definitely a headline fail. I'm gonna go with the Bears in this one. 52 to 14
9. Caney Creek is not talented. They lost to C.E. King.
10. Ball High fight song: We know no bounds or limits Victory is our aim. We stand tonight with all our might We're going to win this game. Greater than wings of eagles Stronger than the tide We are Tornadoes, victory-bound Tornadoes We are the greatest power known! B-A-L-L H-I-G-H T-O-R-S Tors! We never fear Port Arthur, Abilene or Ray We are Tornadoes, victory-bound Tornadoes We are the greatest power known! fight song comes on at 1:00 minute mark [Hidden Content]
11.
Some things stick in your head, don't know why but when I was a youngster my dad took me to watch Steve Worster and that Bridge City fight song stuck in my head. That's my favorite locally.
The Bridge City fight song does NOT go good together with the B-I-G  R-E-D chant  in the middle of it. Or maybe I am just so used to hearing the Lamar fight song with the Big Red chant that nothing else works good with it.
12. Why don't many HS teams run the flexbone? Most running teams I see use the Slot-T or the split back veer. Of course there is Jasper with the Triple I but we are not going to get into that here.
13. I bet so. Though I think Nederland is the favorite to win that district with Kelvin Smith and Dionte Forney inside and Christian Stewart on the perimeter. Wait. Why is this thread in football? You mean they play football at Ozen?
14. WO-S by a lateral  :)
15. It looked like Memorial was running Houston's offense out there
16. Good job by the Silsbee coaching staff. what an improvement!
17. One team in 4A might be rated too highlty. According to the Angleton message board they struggled against a below average 3A team. [Hidden Content]
18. the only prediction i have is that there will be lots of turnovers and penalties in this game
19. It's not their rankings it is a combination of preseason polls. The fact that West Brook can be 48 in one poll and 9 in another shows these are pretty meaningless
20.
Is BC gonna be that good or is it going to be a Vidor Lumberton race for the cellar
BC has some players. But it could be a Lumberton,Vidor Ozen threeway race for the cellar.
21. That article made Crosby sound really good
22. I'd wish it could be like the Texans first game ever against the Dallas Cowboys. A hard fought defensive victory that brought excitement to the city of Houston about the return of football. It could happen. There is one comparison. Lamar is playing a team called the Cowboys. Realistic prediction: McNeese 34, Lamar 7
