I don't have a problem with it being played outside. I have a problem with people thinking its okay to play in situations where the "ELEMENTS" effect the outcome of the game and believing that its okay for that to happen when it is AVOIDABLE. No other major sport is dictated by bad weather in the history of EVER.

There are several NFL stadiums that are not indoors.

Actually my 2 favorite Lambeau and Soldier. Never been to Mike High. But every home run hit at Coors field shouldn't count because the ball carries too far in that high altitude. Very unfair.

I agree we weren't going to beat them, but I had hope, but Manvel is the only team to put up those kind of points on them. They also won that game without Hornsby. But I always say that defense wins championships, so Huntsville could pull it out. After playing both teams, Huntsville seems to be the weaker, but we did play them early in the season.

Agreed about Malik at QB. The kid is great but Marshalls QB is no slouch and next year will be a top 10 dual threat in the state and he had several D1 receivers to throw too.  Really he had more weapons than FB QB. I just think Huntsville will put pressure on him he hasn't seen this year. When PNG rushed 3 he could have had a popcorn and drink before he had to make a decision. PNG just didn't have the talent on D to even make him sweat. I was pulling hard for PNG but FB was just to much and the Indians had a horrible game plan and a ton of missed tackles. I think FB can definitely put up points but just not at the clip their used to. Just hope it turns out to be the game I think it's going to be.

They did that with RJ. Their defense is a beast. Reminds me of WOS chain gang. Gonna be a great game between them and FBM. As good as their D is I don't see them having enough stops against that offense. FBM defense is not too shabby either.

I can't wait to check it out. I don't think they will need many stops because I really think they will move the ball easily on FB. PNG wasn't going to win Friday no matter what your coach did but I do believe they were not prepared for that game. FB defense didn't impress me as much as PNG unimpressed me. FB will have to overload the box or Huntsville will run it down their throat. And if they play man with those little corners Huntsville will pick up huge chunks. You should look at the talent the Marshall team they just beat had. Not much different than FB. They also held Manvel to 10 points a couple weeks ago and Manvel had put up 50+ on almost everyone including FB.

  4. Huntsville defense did what it does. Big physical fast and puts a ton of pressure on the opposing offense. Marshall was loaded with talent and speed but Huntsville defense just keeps the pressure coming. You will see a lot of holding calls because their front 4 are absolutely nasty. Believe me they made a really really good QB for Marshall look average. Can't wait to check out the game next week.

I have Huntsville winning this game and the region...

Not a knock on PNG but if Huntsville plays FB Marshall you won't see kids running down the field not getting touched up. Marshall is extremely fast but probably one of the smallest teams I have seen this deep in the playoffs on the 5a level. I know speed kills but Huntsville IMO would be a horrible match up for FB. Huntsville is big fast and extremely physical. FB linebackers could not have weighed more than 160 lbs. Much like Manvel just smashed it down FB's throat I think Huntsville would do the same with the one exception, Huntsville has the best defense in the region and most likely the state Huntsville also has a passing game with very athletic receivers. Consolidated was averaging over 40 a game and struggled to score 7 on Huntsville. If I'm FB I'm pulling hard for a Marshall W tonight. But it's just my observation and I could be wrong. Only thing I know for sure is I will be there to watch it.

Loved reading this post. It's a 100% fact that this Manvel team isn't better than our teams of the past... AISD ensured that with the new zoning.

With that said, Manvel doesn't have to be better than our teams of the past... we just have to be better than that team across the field. Even if it's only for one night.

Very true. Wasn't a knock on this years team. Just have seen a ton of Manvel games over the years and your right they are still better than most any other teams in our region.

Well we went,we lost and one heck of a long drive home.  They were good but not as good as they were hyped up to be. Didn’t help that our million dollar coach thought it is okay to put our starting quarterback in to receive kickoffs!!!!!!!   Who does that?  Boys fought hard with our third string quarterback but too many issues to over come in second half.  Wish manvel all the luck. They will need it to get through.

This was the weakest Manvel team I have watched in many years. I told people that when I saw them play Crosby. Manvel lost 18 starters last year which was loaded with D1 talent and their head coach left and is now the qb coach at Syracuse. Couple those things with Shadow Creek opening up and I'm actually surprised they are as good as they are. Side note had no idea BH QB was on kick off return. Not sure about that move.

They don't have Jalen Preston anymore and that is a BIG help. He was the wr that was tearing up the playoffs and nearly beat Highland Park before being tackled on the 1

Kam Scott was also a stud. Both kids were big athletic and extremely fast. Believe both were top 100 players in Texas. This years Manvel doesn't have kids at the receiver position even close to those kids abilities.

Remember these numbers 92,93,94,6,9,and 10 for manvel. They are all special they are big, fast and very physical players for manvels defense. 93 is committed to ou.he dominated Crosby when he was on the field but gets tired easy. Crosby went nascar on them and their defense just couldn’t catch their wind. Bh should do the same. They trust their corners to play man so the big wr for the hill could win his matchups.

They did man a lot and their corners were small. I know Rio saw the same thing and it paid off on that last play. Rodgers will be the only matchup problem I see BH giving Manvel. Skill position wise with the exception of rb this was the weakest I have seen Manvel in a long time.
