great pitching and flawless infield play of Trinity.

Funny thing about baseball.  I can't remember when ANY team didn't lose ANY games and NEVER lost one they shouldn't have.

HJ played extrememly well.  Turned the physical Tiger Defense against them.  Can't win without making free throws and DEFINITELY can't win when you have a true gamer like Donohue.  Amazing player, especially after getting his nose jammed like that. 

I Love the Tigers and they will be there waiting in the wind, but I give mad props to the Donohue kid for his attitude and composure during this physical game.

See you in the playoffs.

Taken me three days to get over this game. First off, let me give a congratulations to Columbia for one heck of a game.

Second, my hats off to the Tigers and their QB Harper. He put up a performance that he should never feel bad about. He left everything on the field.

I saw a different side of Silsbee tonight. They were EXPLOSIVE!!!

Normally they eat up the clock and just wear down their opponent.

They were put to the test by a determined defense and came up with some huge plays to stay ahead.

Unbelievable plays for huge yardage and touchdowns!!! If they can keep this in their arsenal along with the ground chewing running game then

Silsbee will be a force to reckon with.

Focus now Tigers. You know you can win if you play mistake free ball.

Focus and challenge yourself. Too many false starts tonight.

First and foremost I MUST give mad props to them Wildcats!!!

They had that misdirection going wild. Never knew who had the ball.

That Byrd kid is the real deal. A tough runner with great vision.

I would love to see them play further, hate to see them lose but I am

glad them Tigers triumphed.

Is it true that we put in our second team defense until late in the 4th qtr?

I saw where we had a BIG lead and Rhodes only had about 35 yards in

the first half but he ended up with 175 yards at the end of the game.

Not trying to be rude or rub it in just wondering if the defense relaxed

that much in the second half.

Either way great game for rhodes getting 175 yards.

BK Johnson continues to impress.

Keep this focus and keep improving as well. Looks like Silsbee has developed some passing skills to go along with that devastating rushing offense. KUDOS' to Coach McGallion for working on that.

Based on enrollment figures' date=' if Silsbee goes to the playoffs, WOS will go D2 no matter what. If K'ville wins out and WOS loses only to BC, they would have the same district record, but since WOS won head-to-head, the Stangs would still be the district's #1 seed in D2. The only change would be if WOS loses out and K'ville ends up winning out, which would cause K'ville to be the #1 D2 seed instead of WOS.

For WOS to go D1, both Silsbee and Jasper would have to fail to make the playoffs. I'm pretty sure Jasper's chances have ended, and Silsbee is pretty much in. If Silsbee somehow can't find their way into the playoffs, WOS would go D1, with K'ville and probably BC would be the district's D2 reps, with K'ville the #1 seed.[/quote']

Believe it or not OF has a pretty good ball control game.

Unfortunately, WO-S doesn't need a whole lot of time to score against

that kind of team. (See Silsbee)

WO-S works on new material for the playoffs, possibly improving depth confidence by playing new players in key roles.

This is how you keep reloading every year. Run your record to 8-0 and then prepare for the playoffs.

Kirbyville is so disciplined against the run. Silsbee better have some kind of passing game. They are not going to run the ball on Kirbyville that well especially no dives. Kirbyville will beat Silsbee this year. They will stop Harper. He better not fumble the football on us because we known for capitalizing on our opponent mistakes.

Whatever. It is no secret that Silsbee throws the ball maybe 10 times a game. But, you have to commit 8 sometimes 9 players to the box to stop the veer. This leaves you wide open at some point in the game whether you like or not.

Not to sound insulting but just ask WO-S. You have to stop the run first.

I believe we outrushed them in yards and it was most likely a direct result to defending the occassional pass thrown during the first half of the game.

WO-S' defense, from what I have seen, is much better than yours.

Cats had better bring the A-game on defense because Silsbee will definitely run the ball regardless of how many you put in the box.
