Just passing this on to you other Nederland fans for debabe.
Meth head... :D
Agree RR, depends who you talk to. If I go PNG I bet I can find 3 people that want Matt back :D Or even better, go to Dallas find 3 people that think Jerry Jones is the best owner in the entire world
 2.
Cograts to WOS. Your team looked very good Friday night.  No real surprises from Garrett, Roberts Lindsey and Thomas. Quite the foursome. I was, however, impressed with your OL. They have made great improvement from the team I saw play Vidor a week ago. I'm sure your staff will round up a kicker. You will need one in close games down the road. As for the dogs: I wouldn't abandon ship just yet. As many have indicated this is a young team. I was surprised our defense performed as they did. However, we were without 2 starters and a 3rd was sick all week but did play. The D's strength will be on the DL. Without the X man at DT, and Stampley at LB we were surely compromised. I watched the D game film over and over last night. We have a lot of work to do with the LB's. Too many bad angles, missed tackles, can't get off a block etc. Personally, I would have brought a LB, DB or S across the line outside the tackles all night long. You know you are in trouble when the DL is making most of the tackles 5 - 10 yds down field. They will all get a lot better when they gel and start working as a unit. The O was about what I expected. Raines is going to be a good one. I would like to see Raines roll out of the pocket some. He is dangerous on the move with his options.  The Dogs will be fine.
Whats wrong with stampley

Not sure when he will play though. Maybe next Friday.
No telling where Hooks recruited the kicker from, any guess?
as if he needs to recruit to beat your dogs... :-*
I thought it was Hooks who had a sign on I-10 after Katrina, football players needed exit here ;D
HE ABSOLUTELY DID NOT HAVE A SIGN!    instead they had a stopwatch and tackling dummy at the rest area and waited for the buses to pull in!   ;D ;D :D :D
good one

 6. WOW!! Somethings just blow my mind Piratefan I agree with most of what you said. I would like to add most coaches kids are pretty good players becasue they spend time with them off the field as well. The reason for a TEAM losing is because the team is not very good. The last thing I will write and agree with, if all possible, dont specifically coach your kid for the simple reason that other coaches can get more out of him. I have done when possible. But I think it is great DADS volunteer to be involved with their kids, daddy ball or not
 7.
Hey Bulldog, you think we could have a league next year. We could play once a week or something.
Yes, I think we could put something together. Lets get some interest going next April before school lets out and se what we can do. I think it worked out pretty good for our first year. We will make even better next year. Lets keep in touch.
 8.
ok this is gonna sound rude but it seems like the only way to tell you guys that WOS is still a million miles ahead of Nederland! We had our worst season in about 6 years last season and easily dominated nederland last year! And say what ya'll want about the dayton scrimmage but we actually played it like a scrimmage and looked to fill holes and tried certain plays out, while dayton played it like a serious game. And i dont see how anyone can say anything bad about our defense. We have a great defense each and every year, you cant just a defense by one bad game! Once we get the right people in the right places everything will be fine! Watch!!
Not sure if you saw the same game I saw last year. WOS got lucky on a pick in their red zone and the game was closer than the score. Not to mention that we lost our starting QB, but thats part of football. I would not say that WOS dominated, plus we were not that strong either. No prediction, should be a very good game to start the season.
 9. Wanted to thank everyone for 2 great weekends of 7 on 7 football. I hope to do it again next year.
 10. I forgot to mention, you do not get things resolved on message board. I am not offering a solution and I am critizing the league. I listened to whiners for 8 years. If you really want things addressed and meaningful go to your board. Your board should keep you informed of the changes and rules. There is always going to kids that mature faster than others, thats just the way it is. Some of the best players I have seen never came close to being overweight or close to the weight limit.
 11.
So Bulldog you are stating that none of the running backs are over weight limit? and if they are then you have lost the argument already. If you are denying that they are over the weight limit then you are seriously blinded.
I guess you dont know how the league works and how the rules are made. What I am saying all players must make a weight limit at certification. What ever they weigh at that time is the weight they play "as" for the year. If you do not like that then you you go to your local board (what ever city you play in) and ask them to evaluate the rules and propose a change. Obviously you just want to complain and stir the pot because of your sarcastic comments. Aslo you should know the history why things are the way they are. I know all things are not perfect, but in most cases rules are made for the greater whole. 3 years ago the ages were adjusted to have kids play closer in age where weight would not make a big impact. Besides when they get to middle school they do not have weight limits. My sone played 5 years in the STJFL and at 13 just broke 100 lbs, he had no problem tackle 135lb runningbacks. He  was tackle and body slammed by players 60lbs bigger than him. So what I am saying, that kids make the certification weight are leagal players, that is the rule. If you  dont like, dont play or get your local board to propose a change. Better yet, get involved and find out how much work it is to run the league and try and be fair to all.
 12.
SO THIS IS JUST FOR THIS YEARS 8TH GRADERS OR WILL THERE BE ANY OF THIS YEARS 7TH GRADE TEAMS  PLAYING
There are 7th grade teams entered and they play their own pool games and bracket
 13.
I have been to several of these games to watch my nephews play. I saw more than one Jr. team who's running backs are "supposed" to be under 90lbs-"YEA RIGHT"- they may have been under 90lbs at 7 years old. If it is truly for the kids "as the STJFL Board says it is then they will find a way to regulate this issue. Several suggestions 1) Have a random weigh in at game each week. Of course you would have to make sure that the weigh in was unknown to the coach ahead of time, if you know what I mean. 2) Give the coaches the ability to be able to choose 2 kids from the opposing team to weigh prior to game starting. 3) Leave it as it is and let some of these 110 to 115lb running backs that sweated down, dehydrated, took laxatives, and Lord only knows what else their daddy's have done to them to make weight continue to think they are the bomb until they get to high school and get shut down by kids that are just as big as them. Funny how it works out that the towns whom I have watched that CLEARLY have kids that are over weight limit have absolutely HORRIBLE High School squads......hmmmm
If you have issues with it, go through your local board, everyone has a say... dont make comments until you know the whole story
 14. Great day on the football field today. Some very close and exciting games. WOS defeated HF in the 8th grade championship and Lumberton defeated Nederland in the 7th grade championship game. We will do it again next Saturday and PNG high school field (on the turf). Should be another great tournament. There are 2 spots open for next week.
