We went from getting 1st and 2nd in district year in and year out to trying to hang on for fourth place. I think we have talented coaches, I just don't think the spread has been good for us.
Ned never finished first during Neumann's tenure Jake......
They were co-champs 2 times, maybe 3... to me that is first place.

 3. I really do not know why I am posting on this, but her is my 2 cents. Nederland competes at a high level and has ever since Nuemann came to town. Someone mentioned the August days, sorry, but you can even go back way further than that. The next few years the talent level in Nederland will be some of the best in the district and expectations will be high. Nuemann and the coaching staff will do a great job with that talent. click the link for the history, I believe Nuemann's first year was 1993. [Hidden Content]
 4. Nederland should compete very well, I think they will have 10 or 11 starter returning
 5. No disrespect to any any league. team, or division, but every year it is proven the 10U football is a lot different than 12U football. There is a big difference. Hey WOS98, dont get upset, yall have a good team you dont need to defend it. You also dont need to bash others, chill  ;)
 6. I always thought when this group was seniors that it would be special season. But since this group was called into action as sophmores, I believe next year will be very exciting with high expectations. Not discount the players that will be seniors, should be fun to watchh
 7.
Next year Nederland prediction: Two quaterbacks, a RB and half the defense injured before the first game. 3rd string quarterack gets hurt in the week zero blowout at WO-S. Neuman brings up a junior high quarterback from C.O. Wilson that sets passing records and is lauded until they lose again at Mid-County Madness. Nederland goes on a winning tear and makes the playoffs. Finally beats whoever-they-play from 19-4A. Just picking! Nederland, as always, will be a force in 20-4A and will be a playoff contender.
I new you were picking when you stated the CO Wilson QB will move up and set records ;D I know he is dreaming about that though

Crosby's gotta come to the Dog Pound.  ;D
Yeah. well whats the odds.
Why, you dont think the coogs will be good enough next year?
 9.
Didn't mean to take any credit away from Coach Flanigan, because the Coogs did what they needed to do.  Good luck to Dominic and we wish him well at TCU.  It's kind of cool that Trev and Dom will be attending the same school next year.  It seemed like there were so many missed opportunities for the dawgs.  Every play called on offense was so predictable.  You would think there would be a better game plan.  Yet the coogs kept the dawgs off balance the whole night and were fortunate they didn't turn the ball over more.  Maybe next year there won't be so many distractions for the dawgs.  The coach probably needs a course in diversity and building cohesion instead of being so divisive.  That probably hurt the team more in the end than his coaching.  Good luck next year.  :)
Obviously you do not know what you are talking about when it comes to Nederland football.

 13.

Nederland stepped up and took care of business and earned their place in the playoffs. LCM had their shot and failed to step up even through their injury problems. Nederland played very well and as usual rebounded from their own adversities this year. I find it funny though that Nederland of all teams (posters) can not relate with a QB injury.  ;) Now, LCM has lost to Central, PNG and Nederland and I have kept up with posts of each loss and its easy to say that Nederland posters have been the least gracious in their victory. :'( Regardless, I hope you go deep in the playoffs and you deserve to be there.
Well, I don't know who made you the sole judge of what is gracious or not. I simply told the truth without any sarcasm. Nederland's QB woes had ours out for the season or several games. When you get down to your fourth string QB and are able to still make the playoffs without your starter, then I can relate. Any QB anywhere, who can throw for 300 yards, is not hurt IMO. Even if he ran for his 60+ yard average, I'd spot you another TD and you still don't win. LCM fans also said that we didn't see their best game. If a team hasn't been in the playoffs for 13 years and it comes down to playing for your playoff lives and you can't play your ''best game'', then you don't deserve to go. I will be more gracious when I see some posts that give Nederland more credit for the win than trying to get sympathy for their injuries. We play through our injuries. We stopped you run game without our starting LB, who will be back next week. It's called depth, and some teams have it. We have coaches who can coach a sub to play at starting level.
It doesn't take much of a judge to consider the following post less than gracious; Nederland spanked that hiney tonight and you know it. Chew on that while Nederland is working on winning their playoff game or two this year.  Hurt QB or not, that was an old-fashioned country  butt-whuppin'. If you've kept up with mine and several other posters you will see I've never discredited Nederlands success. Fact is I think there is only one, maybe two LCM posters that have made excuses for the loss. I'm a little disapointed BD, sounds like you're taking posting tips from TrueBlue  :) Good luck Nederland
List all the smack posters from LCM to be fair... ::)
 14.
A few starters alittle banged up but I think Dionte will want to play as well as Roebuc . They are senoirs and  want to win. Brock Pryor is hopeful he will be ready. If Dionte can't I am sure Trevin or Carson can handle the offense. They are both good atheletes.
Tyler Smith came in for Bellows as sophmore a few years ago against CE king in the Bi-District playoff game and did pretty well and led the dogs to a win. So this nothing new for the dogs, Carson will be fine if he gets in there.
 15.
Well when our quarterback was not mobile like he usually is and was playing on a hurt knee that is tough.    IF'S are big but i will tell you this if Gonzalez would have been at full force the game would have been closer and i feel we could have won. Yes our defense did not look great tonite but Nederland caught us when we did not have our quarterback at his 100 % and he is a tough kid.   congrats to nederland. Maybe you may win one game in the playoffs.
Enough of the EXCUSES.. I did not know Gonzales play Defense! If want excuses we have plenty as well. How about we would have not been in a must win situation if we had Sonnier and 3 other starters for the Vidor game. We could have easily won... OK so you see, everyone has excuses. Take your loss and move on
 16. But nothing some our good players cant handle.
 17.
Great kid....He is an animal on the field.
Did he play for you on the youth football team? Is that the same kid?

He is water cooler quarterback.
edit: inappropriate post

You need to go and listen to Raheem Morris the Tampa Bay's head coach press conferences. Emphasizes that stats dont matter, wins do. With young talented players there will be some hard lessons along the way. But in end it is about winning and make the playoffs. Before you make anymore comments on this board about the Dog's D and the coaches, you need to watch and listen! That is what real football people understand.
 20.
IMO, TIFI has better teams, coaches, food, fans, and cheerleaders!!
OK, yeah for you!
 21. Even if you showed Smitty he would not understand, he does not know football. He is water cooler quarterback.
 22. This was brought up last month, why even go there? Lonestar, STJFL, Pop Warner, & TIFI all serve their purpose. And that is.... kids playing football! Besides, Friday night is what counts.
No, but if you have a toddler or small child and it's 100 degrees out, 3-4 hours without water can create a medical emergency.
I said "EAT"...
 24. The ones being sarcastic and think it is ridiculious, then join the board. You quickly find out that it takes every penny to make the organization run. First of all, you dont have to eat for a 2 hour game, so if you dont by from the concession wait until the game is over. If you have more than one game and dont want to buy from conession, then wait. Unless you have a medical condition, I dont think anyone is going to have to be rushed to the hospital not eating for 4 or 5 hours. I As for as the drinks and/food for players at halftime, team coolers are always allowed. And yes, they will raise you registration fee if they cannot pay their bills. The last thing, it really is irratating to pick Mcdonald's, Sonic, Taco Bell, tetc trash... if you do bring it, at least pick up your crap. I would like to thank WOS & PNG, they always support the concessions
