Hmm.  Alright, let me weigh in.
It's obvious that Coach Haynes is trying to schedule some wins.  Or...at least some teams he'll have a chance at beating.  I can understand to an extent.  He'll want to come in a be the hero.  I think it's probably not good to bail on a school in football because there are only 10 games and they're probably difficult to replace in the middle of the "home and home" 2 year agreement.  So no, I don't think that should've happened.  Like AAW said ^, finish out the schedule and remake it when the agreement is over.  However.  Did HJ willingly let Hardin out of the agreement?  I have no idea.  Maybe they did...not a soul here knows how that conversation went.  In all fairness...it would probably be better if they didn't play.  Only thing that will come of it is a guaranteed (pretty much) win for HJ.  That's a different conversation.
As for Stark.  I've said this before... someone tell me just exactly WHO he should've scheduled.  I thought the schedule was probably as good a schedule as he could've made.

Its very simple. You come into a job in the middle of a two year realignment, you honor the schedule that was done for those two years. After this next season then you can schedule how you see fit.
By dropping teams in the middle of two year schedule, you send those teams scurrying for a 1 year opponent. Not cool!

All BISD schools use the Beaumont Chapter. It was always going to be the Beaumont Chapter to officiate the YMBL/BISD tourney. It's in the contract. When a BISD team hosts a game or tourney, Bmt. Chapter officiates unless the opponent of a single game (non district or district) doesn't agree and the UIL will then appoint an outside chapter for that game. Tournaments use same chapter for all games, no appealing in those games.
BISD chose the Beaumont Chapter. No arms were twisted.

Anybody hear the speech the new AD from HF gave last night? Didn't realize HF was losing 20+ seniors this year. I get the impression that he is serious about the girls getting their physical training up a notch or two. Should help the program.

Good Luck to Coach Jehling!  Think this is a great hire for HF and one to get them going in the right direction if the parents and school board (especially Mott and GILMORE) will let him do his job.  There will be coaching changes but for the better of HF Athletics.  He's already saying moving to the community and getting involved before kids get into his program.  This is something that has to be done and you can see the achievements in sorrounding school districts with their programs (HJ, EC, Ned and several more)!

He will make the playoffs in FB the next two years so if we are having this conversation it is because he moved on to a bigger school and not success on the field. 4 out of 5 teams make the playoffs in this district so it doesn't take much. I don't agree with that system at all but it's what the UIL wants. More games = more money

Congrats BUCS on a great year.  From 1 former BUC, I couldn't be more proud of my hometown team.  The true sign of a champion is how you play when you are behind and ya'll displayed the heart of a true champion and fought til the final buzzer.  Wouldn't expect anything less.  BUC pride never dies.

WO-S did us all proud.   East Texas and DFW talk constant trash about how much better they are than us in SE Texas.  Let this championship show all of our programs it can be done. What does WO-S have this year that put them over the top?   They believe they can win, heck they believe they better win.  They don't play for moral victories they play for trophies.  I get excited when SE Texas brings home State titles in baseball, basketball or even track, but nothing, in my book, compares to winning a Texas high school football championship!
Congrats again Mustangs, you guys earned it.  Can't wait to see who steps up next in our area to bring home the crown.   We have the talent.   

Memorial is gonna be just fine.  Nederland is a good basketball team and their second best player is from....Port Arthur.  Kelly has another two that could and should be playing for us.  This group of sophomores is gonna be good.  No shame in the results so far this year.  Coleman is not another Boutte or Gamble, but he's a solid coach and we got some good young coaches on staff too.  You'll see.

Whoopie he just wants to talk about K-Ville so he can try to forget that 31-7 lead Malakoff had....

Region 4 2AD1, right? Talk about a stacked region!!!! From what I've seen region three in the same classification is no cakewalk either. In my opinion the 2AD1 champion will come from one of these regions.

lets not give them the crown yet ok,,,, lets not forget Buna put 80 on them a few weeks ago
