2.
We are 60 days away from the start of the Texas High School Football Season and today is.... International Joke Day It is celebrated on 1st July. This day is prominently for laugh out loud with your friends and dear ones. International Joke Day may appear to be no serious stuff for many but the day speaks volumes about itself. Joke day can be an awesome opportunity to act humorously and laugh your heart out. History of International Joke Day Although the creator or the origin of the day isn't very clear and known, it is still celebrated around the world as it a happy holiday. It is said that laughter is a remedy to all ailments then why wait for any other day than the “International Joke Day”. It is believed that the first joke originated in ancient Greece by Palamedes. He shot to fame for outmatching Odysseus before the Trojan War. A laughter club was first formed in 350 BC. That indicates that humans have always enjoyed cracking jokes and having a good laugh. It is the primary nature of humans to swap jokes and witticisms and this is what keeps us apart from animals. How International Joke Day Is Celebrated Many people across the planet are suffering from pain and agony. Reasons may differ but it is certainly a painful sight to witness suffering people. But on International Joke Day, everyone can spread a little laugh to not only to their near and dear ones but also to the entire world. There is no bigger exhilaration in this world than being happy and spread happiness. Cracking a zestful joke or two, making funny gestures, rotating mirthful videos, passing jokes through email etc. are all those activities that are mostly popular on July 1. It is said that laughter is contagious. The more you laugh, better are the probabilities of you attributing to make the world a better place to live in. Medical science has also accepted that laughing enables you to fight off illnesses by catapulting your immune system. On International Joke Day, people use to crack some funny jokes and make others feel happier and better.   Its ice baby day<--- hes a joke all by himself. We laughing at you baby.. not with you...
Term of endearment?? LMAO!!!!
Simple thing for Kountze..."O" line and "D" line...we have to be able run up the middle and be able to pull efficiently...we need to be able to stop the run up the middle. When it comes to skill players and speed...this year will be better than last year. But in the simplest explanation I agree with earlier statements WIN AND THEN WIN! Oh almost forgot lets use one QB unless in Wildcat or something...it's hard get folks in a rythem when your always changing the drummer...that's all!
Something I have never seen tried with a 2 QB system is having a 2 center system... I think if you change "Drummer" as you put it... you should also change your snare drum... because it all starts with the Center ... if he is in sync with 1 and only 1 QB you might get more continuity on the line...

With all the hype that is following with SC... What would their psyche be if they lost a district game? not looking for any SA answer :-D serious question... I mean with all the success they have had in the District games... how do you feel they would deal with a District loss....
This team still doesn't know who they are this year or how some of the guys (especially at skill positions other than QB) will play under the pressure of Friday Night lights.  The reality is on the offensive side of the ball, only Sharp (and Jeffreys, but at CE King) has played as a starter with the pressure of performing each week.  Our top receiver IMO is Torrey Johnson.  Torrey had a lot of help last year from the senior receiving corp to lean on when the chips were down.  Greg Hogan was the de facto go-to-guy.  As for the rest of the receivers, none (that I can recall) had the pressure of making plays for the team to win.  At RB, Braden shared the duties with Aldridge as you know.  With Chatman being an unknown commodity at RB thus far, can Braden handle the pressure of being the go-to back?  We all seem to feel that Jeffreys has proven he can be the man at RB, but there's a difference in the expectations at CE King vs. SC. My take on a District loss is it could be a positive and a negative.  The positive could be they get beat and use it as a reality check that pushes them to EARN each win (knowing losing is a real possibility) instead of expecting to show up and win.  They just might be able show up and win during the regular season on their sheer talent ...but that's recipe for another short post season if that attitude/over-confidence carries on (save the over-confidence for me). The negative side, a loss could lead to finger pointing and a lot of doubt that causes this team to implode.  Next thing ya know, Jeffreys quits coming to practice and only speaks through his agent.  Sharp starts thinking more about his college career than winning again at SC.  We have our share of guys that haven't been under the full spot light and could really crack under the scrutiny of the coaches, fans, and ...lets face it ...haters.
I concur on your honest assessment... and I have bolded the most honest statement in this post :-D see if you can find it LMAO!!!

 13.
Ya know, all I've read on this site lately is about how SC has yet to get past the first round and PAM getting beat by Manvel. I must have read each at least a dozen times. Now, since new caney is the focus of this thread, let's get back to talking about that. Anyway, I think NC picking up a coach that can lead a winning program, they have some hope to make something happen in the near future. If they can get some guys to step up they can field a respectable team in any classification.
here here...

Texas Football Magazine mentions Cody Young as probable QB.
A tackle or a coach isn't going to help New Carney. They're dead last in the district in talent and don't have the enrollment to make up for it. You could put Gary Joseph over there and still not get to .500. Until NC benefits from the growth in the area they'll be competing with Porter for last unless they realign to district 18.
If this is true, Barbers Hill shouldn't compete either.  Talent is important, but its not everything at the high school level.  Discipline, preparation, and execution can win you a lot of games.  Look at Katy.  They run their machine and win ...but not many D1's compared to other schools like North Shore, Manvel
BH has a heck of a lot more talent than New Caney. They have a four year starter at qb who's a UT commit in baseball, the best rb in the district behind Walter and Jeffery, and last year they had the best lb in the district with Garrett Dolan in my opinion. Katy doesn't have a bunch of D1 talent but what they do have are huge offensive linemen and big backs that rush for 2000 yards most years like Dean, Young and Taylor. People on this forum always talk about hard work like the other kids aren't working just as hard. The kids at Crosby were throwing up on themselves while they were running this week but you're not going to hear me talking about how hard they're working because I know the kids at Dayton, BH, and SC are working just as hard. Coaching and talent are the most important things at the high school level. BH much like Deer Park is going to dump all the funds they need to support their program and most times you get decent results with that method, that's why BH is better than most others on the sub-high school level. It may get you to the playoffs but most years you won't have the horses to be a threat.
Good points ...I might throw in that if kids are tossing their cookies during summer workouts, they're probably showing up out of shape.  SC's kids stay in training year round and I imagine many other schools do this as well.  I still believe that New Caney could put a better product on the field with their current players than what we've seen.  When all else fails, there's the Katy model ...RECRUIT!  One solid running back from Humble or Northshore area could help NC win some games.
Thats the thing: Katy DOESN'T recruit, their coaching staff gets the best out of their players.  ;) Execution, execution, EXECUTION!  ;)
You keep believing that AND in unicorns.
New Braunfels Unicorns have gotten past the 2nd round in the playoffs before, something SC can only dream about.  ;)
And Northshore beat MANVEL ...something PAM can only dream about.
PAM has gotten out of the 2nd round and gotten a Regional Title recently....something SC will never have but can dream about  ;)
How many years has PAM been competing ...you're jawing about a squad that has been in existence for a few years.  I mean really.  Manvel moved up and whooped PAM's 5A tail.  Not by a small margin either.  You guys just keep picking on Channelview for wins.
Or at least until SC throws shadow on the 21-5A threshold....  ;D ;D ;D
