[/quote] you said it in a nutshell right there.... the Defense didn't lose that game... they got left on a short porch a few times due to turnovers... now  you can also say that the Defense for GTown was better because they did shutdown Ned's Offense and GTowns Offense capitalized on it.... something to be said about leaving a good defense with its heels on the goal line... Vidor did the same thing against SC and SC made them pay for it... Same thing happened to Vidor against Angleton the year before... we went in leading at half time had 2 turnovers inside our own 20 and Angleton punched both in the next play.... Short Porch and Defense is like oil and water... it just don't mix...

I don't think I can say which one had a better year.... in the 3 major sports they were pretty tight with Silsbee getting the nod for the State Tourney run... but i think both had outstanding years and I will leave it at that... congrats to both on their 2012 accomplishments!

Notice how close SC was to the line last alignment... and how some schools with lower enrollment play in 5A... I am sure those are in areas that a 4a game would be heavily taxing on a fuel budget...
