For all the Kirbyville Fans who talked Buna down, and said Buna couldn't compete with Kirbyville and would lose by 50, wouldn't be close, doesn't have the athletes, can't handle the "Black Swarm", I will be coming thru Kirbyville around 8 this morning with several cases of toilet paper, so ya'll can wipe your mouths clean from all the crap you talked about the Cougars the last few weeks...

In Buna's 41-6 victory over Woodville, Lopez gained 206 yards and 3 touchdowns on only 8 carries!
 
Defense -  Ty Fore, Linebacker, West Sabine
 
On Friday, Fore had 24 tackles, 12 of them solo tackles and 4 of them for a loss.  He also forced a fumble, as well as getting a fumble recover and a sack in the Tigers' 52-30 win over Hull-Daisetta.

Buna takes it easy. I think Woodville is a good team and I'm a fan of the Eagles, but Buna will be too much. People still aren't giving Buna a whole lot of credit.

Thanks for the thoughts and payers for my youngest Edelmon... Just wanted ya'll to know he got a full release yesterday from the doc and was in pads at practice yesterday afternoon.... In my humble opinion, HJ just got a little better... :D :D :D

1.  Buna   2. Kirbyville   3.  East Chambers  4. Woodville  5.  Hardin  6. Kountze  7. Anahuac  8. Warren.  Woodville has the athletes and the depth to make a run. it is up to the coaches to make the adjustments. Kountze will hurt with the lack of depth and lack of confidence. Hardin can be a spoiler. Coach Fortune will have a say in how the District shapes up.

whatever. ..I read all the hype about HJ beating WOS... without commenting. .. wanted to see for myself so I went to the game. ...I simply posted my opinion based on what I saw. You can keep acting like a child all you want calling people names (which should get you banned) it doesn't change that HJ will fall to the mighty Mustangs yet again. .. And you fear of them has nothing to do with it. ... mediocrity hates excellence.

Buna is better than what a lot of people give them credit for. Coogs by a TD.

Buna has been the underdog in the 2 games they've played this season. I believe they were -7 versus bye last week. With that said, the Cougars go to 3-0 and others begin to take note that this team is for real. 1 game at a time.

Yes it was a defensive game and special teams played big in this one too.  Lower than average number of penalties and most of them came later in the 2nd half.  This game was decided by special teams.  OF missed their extra point on a bad snap and missed a field goal that would have changed the outcome.   Buna blocked OF's second field goal attempt with 4 seconds left in the game.  Great defensive battle by 2 teams that understand each others offense very well.  Good luck to OF!!!

Your misunderstanding the whole concept here. I know Hj is improved and do support the kids and the team. I always have. My comment are towards the few fans that need to realize that respect will come to them in time and not by demanding it on a message board with a basis of 1 successful season since 1998. I do hope HJ makes another good run this year as it will reflect well on our district. Im also pretty sure they are a great team with the recent success they have had but still have a ways to go. If another poster says 9 good things about your team but 1 bad, yall attack and call names and tell them they have no idea what they are talking about. Instead of looking at the good comments made, they go on a tirade and tell us all we have no idea what we are talking about. The difference is we've been here before many many times so we take the negative comments and ignore them. Just keep calm and win a few more games.

There are a few posters that constantly bash or try to discredit anything positive that is posted by anyone supporting their school, family, neighbor, etc. Here's a suggestion, if you can't take it don't dish it. Bashing is not allowed, but constant negativity is rampant. That's fine it's a forum for debate, but when you are consistent & most posters on a thread call you out, don't get mad & try to threaten people. Be a grownup & comeback with something clever. We all have buttons that can be pushed & once someone finds it, just step away & remember this is for entertainment & exchanging info so no need to get so upset. If you find yourself in this predicament & can't handle yourself, I suggest you don't trade Barbs. We may not like what is being said, but no need to take things personal or get personal. I know I can go for days, but it's All in fun. Never serious, I sit back & read post & responses & laugh my butt off. If someone gets out of line I can get that way too & I have. So from this point on, just know it's All fun. If I offended anyone I apologize because that's how I was raised, but please know this was done out of Respect. Nothing more, nothing less

I think Buna finishes third, losing to Kountze and Kirbyville by narrow margins. But I also wouldn't count them out of 1st or 2nd. It will be interesting to see

The kid from Buna has never and would have never played any linebacker. Way to slow. Never started on defense and three other sophomores last year did start, two at linebacker. Dont let him tell you he's a tight end either.
