I have a bottle of the Balvenie 14. Only comes out for special occasions. But if I catch you shooting it, you might get shot. You sip and enjoy. Try some.. good stuff.

I get the decision to not do fireworks...classy move, though it does break tradition. But it seems like there was another time when we didn't do fireworks due to drought or something.
But I can't help but facepalm.. no fireworks tonight so we don't trigger any ptsd ...so let's move it to... veteran's day ...I see.

Like Tim listed... Luker was a pure linebacker with the stats and accolades to back it up. I'd take him on my team any day.
Rick was fast...but he had a good mind for football too. Excellent returner, and I liked him even more on defense. He had a lot of INT's. it's a shame Vidor experimented with a west coast offense for 1 year when he became QB..he would have done some damage if they remained an Option team.  Definitely didn't play to his strengths on that choice.

I feel like it's pretty even on paper. Hope the Pirates haven't unpacked their rucksacks just yet. Another war on the horizon.
I might even be sitting on the PNG side with a friend of mine. So if you see a man and his 4 year old in pirate gear in a sea of purple, looking lost as hell with your cult-like chanting and chopping...just disregard us..we don't bite..

One thing about Vidor I have learned from living in this area. Regardless of who they have in any given year, regardless of talent, that team plays hard. They play for each other. There is something to be feared about a team that plays with that type of physicality and reckless abandonment. I don't meant this negatively at all, they play desperate, desperate teams can beat anybody.

Well, I just wanted  to let you and some of your minions know our band who loves to play in what you call a hellhole was walking our stands during the game tonight  taking up donations from our fans including me so your band could to go to a clinic in Chicago. Your band was told because of the budget cuts in your school district they wouldn’t be able to attend. So our band director & kids decided to take action to help out the Crosby band. An I can tell you that a lot of people that gave are still trying to get back in thier home from Harvey. A lot of these people lost everything and they still have a giving heart. That’s why I love this community! So want you take your overrated parasite butt an crawl back underneath the rock you can from. Great Game Pirates!

You hid out the whole game when it looked like Vidor was going to win.  Then you crawl out from under the bed and just had to make a smarta— remark.  Classless, and you want to talk about Vidor?  Pathetic.

Gave them all they could handle and then some when every body marked you down for an L before kickoff.  Proud of you, Pirates! Good game, Cougs!

Sorry you feel like this is a hellhole.... I don’t think many of us complain. I can think of much worse places to play at. We love coming to this “Hellhole” and watching our boys.
On a different note, congrats to Crosby on the win.
    Oh, and bless your heart.

I mean, I’m not sure I’d say “magician” but that’s what coaches get paid to do. Make adjustments.

Oddly enough, I find it comical that you're so hard for them.
Shots fired. I'm kidding... hey it's a game. Someone will win. Someone will lose. Sometimes, you can even win by losing as long as you leave it all on the field and can live knowing there is absolutely nothing else you could have done to change that game. There are invaluable lessons in sports...beyond the results on the score board.

Hey! You and Bootleg both... line up or pair up, I don't care.
but seriously...I love that about my neighborhood. if it's not Dallas flags, it's UT, or aTm .. it's like walking out in Pleasantville. Wives borrow sugar, the pits and smokers are going on the weekend during football season, the atvs get loaded up... just the little grandeur of it all that make you appreciate your blessings.

I haven't been on this thread since it was only 3 pages. Wow. Things have taken a turn. I wish I could say for the better. But some of you guys, man... have some class. Unfortunately, it can't be taught. Neither can heart. I try not to take offense to people saying they don't want to live in Vidor. Keeps the traffic to a minimum. Personally, I love this little community.  It's a community of mostly hardworking folks that get up every morning and tend to business. It's a bedroom community much like Orangefield, Bridge City, etc. People live here because it's neighboring the big industrial cities and the commute isn't so bad.
I'll tell you another thing...you folks that live and walk like you're high and mighty...you're not. In my travels, I can tell you that people are pretty much the same all over. Don't believe me? Go to any Walmart, lol. Hell, I saw a rough looking lady walking on Boston Avenue in Nederland this week.. tank top, dirty jeans, no shoes. And I was like..Jeez, did she walk all the way from Vidor like that? A little self-depreciation is humbling. To those of you running down this little town, I hope you're joking. I love my neighborhood, and my community as a whole (well mostly...not too far north, and not too far south.) Especially during football season. I walk out my front door on Saturday mornings... pretty much all the men are doing yardwork, kids are riding bikes, the Cowboys flags get put out next to our American flags.

I'm pulling for Vidor, but I know it won't come easy. They will have to play a near flawless game. Might have trouble breaking away for 60, but 10, 6s work out the same way. Speedy teams...You just keep punching them in the mouth, and knocking them on their butts, and they will get tired of picking themselves up. Control the tempo, take care of the ball, take care of each other, and miracles happen everyday.

You Coug fans are hilarious.   If the thread is this long against Vidor, wait just until you play our Mid county friends.
In all honesty,  I know the Cougs are favored.  I know the odds are you will win.  But much like the Summer Creek fans, you are full of yourselves for no real reason.   It makes you all targets to easily mock.
Vidorians, or at least the ones my age, rolled with the losses and still maintained our team spirit.  Losses were the norm which makes our current success much sweeter.  But I have a feeling that if you lose tonight,  it will be much more painful for you than a loss for Pirate fans.
