Especially when Karen Slack is right there in house. All I know is this: there was absolutely a candidate on their list, who they interviewed, who has 20+ years' experience as a SUCCESSFUL AD/HC in the SETX area. He would've been a slam dunk hire and gotten folks in Liberty excited about playing football again, especially with the group of young kids they have coming up through the ranks. Unfortunately, they decided to take a different route. Like I said, I am not throwing shade at Harrison, everybody has to get their first job somewhere. I just hope Liberty didn't pass a great opportunity for some reason other than thinking Harrison was the superior candidate.

Have they had some good teams YES  However the issue is that people think they are better than they are. That is why I say always overrated 

    Your right about no state championships. I never said they were world beaters but in the setx area they are a top team.  They  would struggle against Carthage, Gilmer and PG. im sure a few others.

    I didn't believe it but it is an interesting way to look at it.

    Im really surprised he applied for that job. I feel like the Nederland job would be hard one to compete in. You have to beat PNG and then you have 7 years to make it to a state championship and win it.

    They got worse as the years progressed, players quit the team due to the coaching staff, there was zero discipline, and extremely poor coaching and IMO this is why they are keeping teams in a classification below them, hoping somehow they can get a win

    Bellville would have beat Nederland alot worst than they beat silsbee. Bellville  would probably have taken out most teams in setx other than Port Arther and PNG. I dont see silsbee being overrated. We had skill players just lacked depth in the trenches.

    A 4 - 6 or 5 - 5 record wouldn't surprise me.

    I saw Silsbee in the trenches early last season and knew that it would only be matter time in the playoffs they would get tested. They lacked size in the line. Your right West Brook and i believe is LCM is decent up front. I do believe Silsbee will be challenged in pre district.

    LCM is returning alot, and should have a better year. Im gonna make that west brook game that one will be interesting.
