Ozen-Ozen,Smh stick a fork in me i'm done. The man behind curtain #1 seem to have made the recommendation/decision to hire from within BISD, thats from a not so reliable source however. It want surprise me if this prevails.The band aid fix wins out. Same song same singer is the front runner. I need some Jack Daniels to go with my popcorn. What a catastrophe.

West Brook varsity spring game@ 4:30 today was cut short due to inclimate weather(lightning). However WB looked like WB huge O-line abundance of players(Varsity) Approx.(70). Offense appeared to be ahead of the defense.

I hope you're in error. The PNG hire would be what the doctor ordered. If that person behind curtain # 1 blocks the hire he should be forced to retire. This is 2016...Remember The Titans...

It's pathetic that the Administration/A.D. have procrastinated until the eleventh hour to do anything constructive to solve the vacancy at 5A Beaumont Ozen. Hiring from within the district and not opening the position to applicants outside the district is like putting a band aid on a serious injury.This quick fix will satisfy some and in two years this cycle will more than likely repeat itself. Just do the right thing and hire PNG O Line coach. I havent heard any community members express anything negative reference this possible hire.

Sir if you would explain "outside the district" I assumed PNG was in the district.

It's pleasant to know we can agree to disagree.I'm going out on a limb and say BISD should hire the PNG O Line coach. "If" they are sincere about fixing the anemic football program. If not continue to play games with the quick fixes the one and dones,2 and throughs.There's only one remnant of the Ms L regime that would attempt to block this for fear of success at Ozen. Campus Admin,Posse,and booster club members would be doing a disservice to reject this coach. "Remember the Titans" !!!... In Reverse !!!

Ozen doesnt do the hiring. I'd welcome PNG O Line coach with open arms in a heart beat. It's probably just rumor. New motivation is what the program desperately needs. Some of that Indian Pride and Cherokee spirit would go a long way...jmo...

Apparently BISD is honoring Suggs contract and apparently it aint urgent enough to buy him out (one months pay). Apparently the football program will continue to suffer. Apparently its a one way street and the kids have no rights or representation. I rest my case.

It's just sad nothing is being done and waiting until later will only compound an already disaster in progress. Where's the community leaders ???? This would not happen at West Brook or Central.

Smh so the board of managers and the AD will postpone the hiring process because Suggs contract want expire until June. Thats ludicrous and a recipe for failure. I cant believe the Ozen community,fans and booster club arent making a swift path to the administration office demanding action be taken immediately to fill the head-coach job. Hiring a coach in July is basically giving the new hire about a month to prepare for the season. Again a recipe for failure. Seems like there's others with the same agenda Ms L had. jmo.....

I respect your opinion in this discussion however Beaumont Central and Westbrook are members of BISD. Its no mystery why these schools dont have the turnover and dont have to recover from BISD "great tragedy"...Cool beans and the band played on ijs...

Everyone has the right to pursue whatever employment they desire. However its unfortunate that Ozen's head football coaches seem to bail out at the end of the school year leaving the program in limbo and administration scrambling to hire a replacement. The kids continue to suffer from this.The program was already on life support imo. Was there any explanation given why this resignation occurred at this late date ? This program will struggle to compete on the 5A level. Some seem to think this is the plan. Suggs opt to stay in 5A then 3 months later abandons ship.Smh....

6A #1 Atascocita- #5 in the Nation-(38-0) now (38-1) the best basketball team in the state of Texas per many got smacked by #4 DeSoto 73-54.... for the 6A state championship....Monumental upset....

There's no doubt in my military mind lol you(SportsJunkie)will be picking against Ozen for the 3rd consecutive game. Riding with #1-Elkins the odds are favorable.Elkins is a great team they were talking the talk last night after handling Yates. It's yet to be proven if they can walk the walk today with the match up with "under dog" Ozen...
