Why? Heck he only accounted for 10 td's in a first round playoff game. I'm sure tons of kids in Texas playoff games did that last weekend. Hell he wouldn't even be a starter at a certain school.

crosby is about 2.5 TDs better than Ned, we saw that in person, and in the Dog Pound, buuut, Ned finds a way to make games that shouldn't be interesting... More than interesting... Good football game to watch even though.sloppy at times.

To all of my fellow 22-5A fans. Heres to a competitive and healthy season for all. May the best teams make the playoffs and the others seniors have  fun in the process. Good luck to each team. Its cool how we all stick together before and after district. Ill go to any of the games I am able to in the playoffs when my Indians arent playing and support our district!

Every time I watch the weather it's a different forecast. Looks like the rain is pushed back to mainly sunday and monday and the temp will be upper 50's the saturday games, little chilly but goood football weather.

Looks like is is going to be colder than the original forecast. The news was showing 80% chance of rain saturday evening with a high temperature
of 43, originally they said 55-57, by the time PNG-Dayton kick off it is going to be nasty, this could hurt the passing games bigtime.

That's okay Gabe, I read it like you did. Nederland has no business even thinking along the lines that KWP is less than a worthy adversary because they are the 4 seed. Nederland hasn't proven they are good enough to think anything along these lines. They will have to play one of their very best games to even have a chance to think like the stuff in the chorizo post.

I think, we can, you should, they are, who is, you know, look back, but they did, your, weak, no we are weak, but she said, no he said, last year, 7 years, 4 years, Nederland did, Central did, Crosby couldnt, Dayton didnt, we did, you didnt, think so, maybe not........... I cannot take credit for this idea, but it was brought up as a suggestion during the 8th grade football game this week.
Several years ago, Lumberton Middle School's Girls Volleyball Coaches realized that when the girls reached high school many of them were not playing any longer, therefore leaving a void in talent. They decided to create two A teams and a B team in 7th and 8th grade. (Lumberton and Vidor are the only schools in the district that do not have split middle schools)The idea being that it would allow more girls to play and develop, eventually leading to success at the varsity level. Over the past several years the idea has,proven fruitful.
With that being said , why can't the football program do the same thing. As it stands now, there is talent that stands on the sidelines all game( both A and B teams)that will never develop, and eventually quit or not reach their full potential. It is my belief that year after year Lumberton's program loses a lot of talent to moves or kids not being interested in playing anymore. More playing time leads to more development and an eagerness to continue to play at the high school level. All you have to do is look at Lumberton's current varsity roster to see that there is a good group of core talent, but not enough depth to be successful. It would not hurt to try something different. Any thoughts?

Why would the coaches from Central be yelling stuff at Coach Neumann after the game? They had every opportunity to win the game and that's on them.

Yes, I do believe the PNG faithful had firmly hung their hat on the Clear Lake outcomes.... we tried to tell em.  All is good though, it's going to be a brawl Friday.  I like our chances in a brawl.

I think the beatdown comment should come with claiming points by which the beatdown would be administered... but that's just me.

I think just as much credit needs to go to Central Staff for not coaching the 2nd half!

Lets give some props to Spell, keeping the very talented Jags outta the endzone the whole 2nd half. My hats off sir!!!!!! And kudos to the whole staff!!!!!!!

We are entering the meat of our schedule and after this game they are getting into the easy part of theirs. We are probably the last team that can stop the Dogs.

Soulja, just a couple of comments.  The 15 yarder at the end of the game sounded like it was on the sideline, not certain.  And, the knee was clearly down before the kid stretched the ball across the goal line, as soon as the knee is down, you mark it where the ball is and it was short of the goal line.

Saw the highlight of the last play on the news, kid was clearly down before reaching out the ball, but honestly surprised the official made the right call.  That's one high school officials get fooled on at times, but they got it right.  Austin Krautz is a big time playmaker and is coming into his own.  If he can do that against Central, he can do it against anybody.  Lastly, if you want to know what makes the program go, watch the KFDM interview, toward the end, Sage Seay runs up and kisses his coach on the cheek, there is much love in that lockerroom, and they spill it on the field every Friday night.

I have to say it,  adjustments, adjustments, adjustments.   The defense showed they had a pair of big gold ones in shutting out Central in the second half.  

This one is about as big a win as the Pearland Dawson game in terms of what was overcome and the talent of the team we beat on the other side of the ball

Not to be a bearer of bad news, but that's all we have had to do after the first round over the last 4 years.... Maybe we should just consolidate. Call ourselves the PNNG Boomerangs... Colors could be Pink and silver.. And we could be like Oregon and change it up every week.... Now this outta stir the crowd..... Lol
