Vidor is 1-7 and is in the playoffs, is that correct?

Watched this game at the Butch today and the ref's where bad, but had no real affects on the game, the better team won. Ozen (1-3) has to be the biggest disappointment this season, 2 - 5 on the season and probably will miss the playoffs after going 3 deep last year, never seen so many false starts and off sides penalties, the athletes are there, the discipline is not.

We in Mid-county should stop talking about leaving early and fan bases and appreciate the followings we have. Went to the Ozen - LCM game today and i'll bet there wasn't 400 people there from Ozen and just a few more for LCM, we're spoiled in Mid County with 2 great communities that love their football and support them as much as possible.  I was surprised to see so few fans for a 20-4a matchup with the playoffs on the line.  I would be surprised if there was more than 1000 total fans at this game and we ( midcounty ) play in front of packed houses on a regular basis, not everyone gets this kind of support.

This is true, but I'm thinking Crosby will win and it will come down to the last game, Nederland should get the loser and Vidor the winner between Summer Creek and Dayton.   

Just because you get paid to coach doesn't mean your good at it. not directed at any specific coach or staff, just saying.

What's with all the whining?  The Nederland game is over, you sound like a bunch of cry-babies, not a playoff team. 

I think WOS should petition the uil to play in 4a next realignment, then we won't have to wonder if they would make the play offs in 4a or if they could beat Nederland when it counts, just a thought.

Nederland was 11-2 last year. I definitely think wos would compete, it would be close games with Vidor and Nederland but I think they would finish 3rd or 4th depending on whether they could beat Livingston which we will never know, meanwhile WOS will their hands full when when the 3a playoffs start.

The png web site said HBack Blake Lane was moved up to Varsity, I think Mayfield is a soph from Nederland that has been out with a knee injury, hasn't played all year.

But there does come a point where teachers start wondering if it's worth it to stick around, and a lot of the time pensions factor into that. I would imagine that's an even bigger decision for coaches; physically, that is the more demanding of the two jobs. [/quote]   I think the emotions and competition of coaching keep you going. It's a way of life, but your right, there always come a point where you walk away, hopefully on your own terms.

did last years png freshmen team came to bulldog stadium undefeated also?

Are the png freshmen & JV teams undefeated? what are their records, not that it matters come thursday, just wondering. I think both games will be good.

I don't think Coach Neumann or Coach Faircloth coach for the money and if you are enjoying work why not keep working.

I think these will be good games, gotta go with the Nederland JV and Freshmen. The Freshmen have found a reciever to compliment Austin, I think this will be a high scoring game. The JV has had some tough setbacks but they can throw the ball and are better than the record shows.
