1.
Couple of statements about Georgetown.  They have played 5A ball for about the last 15 years and ask lake travis about the differnce in 5A vs 4A.  So far nobady has really tested this team 14-0 speaks for itself.  Historicaly, GT has been scrappy but undersized and less athletc compared to the Wacos, Pflugervilles, and Stoney Points of the world.  However, since the drop to 4A now they are the big, fast ones.  Their uptempo offence stresses defences and you better have at least 4 DBs that are great athletes in space or you will get exposed! Unload the box they will sit back and make your dbs defend the whole field, bring pressure like Angleton tried and they pick you apart with hots. Qb is very good and these kids are not soft, they will get after you. There oline is very good and the scheme is designed to counter a d-line pass rush.  Guys this is not the fairly straight forward attack you faced against dawson.  I can speak to dawson and gtown i have seen them both in person.  I dont know much abot Nederland last time I saw them was when they played Dayton in like '07 or '08.  That being said their aren't many easy wins in this part of the playoffs.  I feel like the bulldogs will need at least 40 to beat the Eagles.
I guess we'll see if Nederland can disguise their coverages and when they blitz, these where the same things being said about Friendswood when we beat them( in 01, they had it all including a QB and yet somehow we confused their QB and shut down their offense.

I may skip this one since the stadium only holds 10,500 so a Nederland resident can have the seat. I attended the first 3 games, but want to make sure everyone from Nederland that wants to go has room. But I will be at next weeks game  ;)
You might NOT want to skip......we have won with you so far...and you don't want to change it up now, for Petes sake........ ;D A Fan is a fan, no matter where you might live......Come One, Come All!!!!
Don't twist my arm....  ;)
you gotta go, it's that simple.
 3. That would be nice to see Washington go to A&M and get a chance to play in the SEC.
 4. Good game, Angleton needs to keep Georgetowns offense off the field to win, they can move the ball. Anyones game with a half left to play.  Come on  Angleton
 5. Georgetown at the Angleton 25 , 19 seconds left till half
 6. TD Angleton  14-7  Georgetown  56 sec left in  2nd qtr
 7. If angleton wins it will be at Rice, if Georgetown wins it will be at Kyle field.
 8. His high powered team got shut out for 3 qtrs and was lucky to be in this game at the end. He wins with better athletes and got out coached tonight, his team acts like LaMarque, no respect and no discipline.
 9. If you enter from the south endzone, which side is the home side, east or west side?
 10. I hope it's 1 of the front 4 with a turnover for a score or a safety.
 11. What happened to the friday night experience with Bob West, they use to do all the playoff games?

 13.
SC is good enough to beat any true 4A team.  GTown running their 5A team this year is wrong.
How do you figure Gtown is running a 5A team, when the #'s dropped at Gtown where they suppost to kick everyone off the team because those players have played 5A football before and that's not fair, why don't you take your ball and go home, crybaby.
 14. Seems like Kyle Field would have been a good choice for both schools.
 15.
Nederland should win right on to play Dawson's Creek the following week.
We shoulld win, who is Dawson Creek
 16.

You gotta be able to score more than 21 on this year's Dayton team.
No, you don't. You just have to outscore them. The team with the most points wins. I'll grant you this,  Neumann and Barrow drive me IN-SANE. They only do enough to get by offensively week after week, I have only seen them throw down once this year. Every other game the minute they got a lead they started grinding. They did it against every team we played in district, drives me NUTS. The Nederland Bulldogs have at least 5 potent receivers that are extremely dangerous when they get their hands on the ball and very seldom if ever drop. They have yet to really open it up this season. I would love to see them really open up the playbook and beat the crap out of someone. I think if they could just call a game with the gloves off they could beat any team in Texas 4A this season.
This is very true.
 17. With 32 districts in 4A, 8 districts in each region, the UIL seems to use district 17 as a floater, sometimes its in the Austin area and they wind up in region 3, other times they move district 17 to the Kilgore/ Jacksonville area, taking them out of region 2 and into region 3, I guess to balance out the regions and to be fair about it they alternate these area's, I'm sure the Austin teams would rather be in region 4 and the Kilgore area would rather be in region 2, but every other realignment one of them gets put in region 3.
 18.
Nederland. All Nederland's hopes n dreams are squashed when/if they play Summer Creek. I know many posters don't believe A + B = C predictions, but if Nederland played Dayton close (the game could have been 21-14), then Nederland looks to get blown out by SC. SC needs to beat an excellent Georgetown team, then look out. I can't see SC scared of rematches against BH or Crosby. Nederland looks very beatable. The team that has my eyebrows raised is DAWSON.
I wouldn't concern myself with Nederland when Georgetown may take you out this week,
 19.

I am not quite sure why a team from Austin is in our "region" but none the less I think Nederland wins it. I doubt Connally has seen a team with a defense as good as Ned's.
Me either,  redistricting was weirder than usual this time around.
the UIL has always bounced between the Jacksonville/Kilgore area and the austin area to play in region 3, these next 2 years it's the austin area, I know in 04 we played Jacksonville in rnd 2, in 02 we played Harker Heights rnd 2.
 20.
We had them before anyone...but that early and it being preseason...didn't know if we were that bad or they were that good...both were true. Lol
and you get them next year early as well, that will be a good test for a young team.
