My prediction:
Coach Matthews comes onto field eight times at least 20 to 25 yards towards players, throwing his hands in the air!!
Nederland 35
Vidor 24

Help me with my memory but I think the games between these two teams always seem to be lopsided. Either Nederland dominates Dayton or Dayton dominates Nederland. Can't recall too many really close games between the two. I see this game having potential to be close, turnovers and costly penalties make the difference.

James, you talking about the Central transfer noted above?
This kid didn't come from Central, Central Arkansas maybe.
-
Curious to see just how good this transfer kid is going to be. I'll take 6'3" 215 lb athletic QB anytime. Just a jr. too!!
-
I was pulling for my Nederland Boy Sage to win but didn't happen. Two very deserving young men, congrats to both!

Doomed? A team that let the horrible Newcommers cone into bulldog stadium and beat them in all their 'atmosphere'? Mind you this team missed the playoffs... and how many points did this team score on Nederland again?
But Central well, Central wasn't too shabby this year... even forced you to share that district title. The same Central team that ran that team you lost to off the field... ;)Central got beat by Nederland, enough said!!! One often looks for small victories thinking they equal a win... slice it, dice it, Central lost once again to Nederland.....lol

I figure if you just participate in spring practices like other teams, you would have to be secretive with the game...
Hey my friend, nothing secret about the spring flag football game, come on and watch it yourself. I will remind you when it happens so you won't miss it. It is the secret behind all the years of success at Nederland. This one game sets the tone for the entire upcoming football season. Without this secret flag football game Nederland would be doomed like the Central program.

First one to 60 wins this one!!

Yep. I remember that dual highlight video. Both of them were wrecking shop. I wonder if that video is online somewhere?
Didn't know there was one BMTSoulja1, would love to see it myself.

Assuming youre talking about the huge RB we tried to keep at bay all night, i'm pretty sure that was Eddie Brown in 2007. Cody Johnson was the previous year when Ned had Micah Mosley and they had a big predistrict shootout. Also, Joplo Bartu, a receiver from that team is playing in the NFL now.
Cody Johnson was a load. Think he ran for 335 that night against Nederland and I think Micah had 318. Was like watching a ping pong match.

Seen both play and if GCM doesn't put the ball on the ground they beat Ozen by 3 TD's.

Wow what a game. playoffs can't get here soon enough.

i would like to see Krautz moved up to return the pooch kicks to us,,,,,that's just because I'm a Krautz fan....
-
Just don't kick off deep. I for one can live with a good pooch kick,,,,,, temptation is great but outcome seems to haunt us....can't blame em for giving them the chance to make a play but it just seems to kick us in the butt when we do....hate giving them the ball in open field!!!
3 offensive players on GCM's team can fly!

Central wins this one is a high scoring game: Too much Central offense and not enough PNG defense.
Central 41
PNG 28

Heck I watched the CO Wilson and Central Jr. High game Tuesday night and thought there were maybe two kids on CO's team that may make some noise next year as a 9th grader as well. You never know.

GCM - 31
Big Ned - 45Finally BMTSoulja1, you going with the dogs, personally I was hoping you would keep the streak alive and go against Nederland,,,lol
-
Austin Krautz is my pick

Who's "Yall"?
Most PNG fans I knew didn't just expect a W.
Some did some trash talkin just for fun, but reality was the Dog's were not the underDog like was being touted.
I have to agree with badndn, I don't think many PNG fans really thought they had a chance against us either. Good point badndn!

Nederland has one of the best offenses in our district, far from plain vanilla, solid quarterback who is a big surprise to me, big O-line, host of receivers, and a running back who can do it all. Krautz has IT, you can't coach IT, he just has IT. Give Krautz the ball and let IT happen. Love watching this kid run!! We have many weapons on offense and do a good job of mixing it up to all. Two tough games coming up.
