I thought Carson came in when our QB went down in the 3rd quarter against Brenham in Reliant Stadium.  He started every game since, please correct me if I am wrong.

Carson, you have a special place in Bulldog History, well deserved and earned.  Congratulations! Good luck in your future and best wishes.

Big shout out to all the Nederland players for their hard work in making the list. Like to give a special shout to my son Brock Pryor for making the list 3 years and 1st Team the last 2. I told you all that hard work would be worth it Mom sister and I are so very Proud of you and we Love You.. May GOD continue to Bless all these young men as they turn the page in their lives.
Enjoyed watching Brock play over the years. Kid gave us his best every down. Hope he get's the chance to continue to play.

1. Nederland - lots returning on both sides of the ball.
2. Central - impressed with the young QB and has some talent around him
3. Vidor - they graduate a lot, but Matthews has built a program
4. Ozen - they always find a way to get in recently, I like the new QB
5. LC-M - talented QB and some WRs return
5. PN-G - Rose will have a huge year, but no D= no playoffs. Fresh class good but not yet..
5. Livingston - don't know much about them, but always speedy
8. Lumberton - good frosh class, but hard to depend on youngsters
I agree with jake94,,,,
4. I don't think Georgetown has the individual player talent as Dawson had. They do however seem to play better as a team. Nederland is at a different level on defense now. Beating the Dawson team raised their confidence to another notch. Georgetown has not seen 4 down lineman as dominating as Nederland and linebackers who are smart and can cover the running backs on pass plays, something Georgetown does. This will make our secondary even better. Maybe Georgetown has a slight edge on speed but I'll take our pass rush and man cover and move on to next week. All our offense has to do is be patient. Let Hopkins pound on em for first downs, eat up the clock, and win 24 to 20. Bye the way, I'm already standing at the gate waiting for them to let me in.......Anyone need me to save them a seat????

Georgetown QB highlight tape and stat sheet on team
http://www.maxpreps.com/high-schools/georgetown-eagles-(georgetown,tx)/football/stats.htm

Fast pace offense, quick play calling.
They haven't seen anything all year like our defense!! I see a pic 6 in the making and multiple sacks......
6. One of my favorite times of the game was when our dominant defense would tackle #2 and drive him back in the ground. I just know our linemen were talking smack while he was laying on his back. Something like, this is what a REAL defense feels like, get use to it. Seems like every time we nailed him to the ground he didn't like being there. Gotta love a dominant defense. Dawson couldn't do nothing but throw the Hail Mary backyard playground pass. I may be not giving our defense and coaches enough respect, make that 9 our of 10 times we bear Dawson.
7. Couldn't be more happy to see Seth Barrow catch the game winner, ever more happy due to the Coach calling the plays being his Dad and Coach. I'm not sure what play was called but when Raines extended the play and found Barrow in the endzone to me it was the perfect ending to a great game and moment that both Dad/Coach/Son/Player and all us fans will never forget.

Y'all were lucky to play on the same field as Dawson.
Really, playing at Reliant is special. We are 2-1 there. Oh, you mean we shouldn't breathe the same air? Dude, who are you trying to kid? You can tell you are from Dawson.....probably a player.

22-19
Son your team got lucky.. Leave it at that.. Have fun losing next week.. I might bring you some tissues for your tears.
If you have any left over after you are done with them please do. Look Dude, Nederland right now could line up with Dawson and play you guys 10 straight games and win 8 of them. That is how dominant our coaches were, players were and heck our band was last night. Get over it, your team needs discipline and it starts with the coach. Your coach was right, the better team did not win last night, THE BEST team did. Move on, better yet, move out of the way, we are done with Dawson, NEXT!!!

Everybody is alive and well, including Bob..TV has changed over the last few years in the GT..We have gone mobile and do every game we can, youtube has helped.

We are really striving to do more games as we have in years past..Mobile Internet will help us get back to where we were, only this time with the ability to reach more people.

I miss the local games more than you know!
I miss the two of you covering them as well! good times!

Great runs for sure. I was there. That first long run was like the second play for Ned.

Too bad you don't have the clip for the LM player landing out of bounds on the TD.
I have that clip as well baddog, clearly out of bounds, also the face mask call against us which later the ref admitted to blowing the call. That call led to the out of bounds catch by LaMarque. Oh well, this Friday the Dogs change Reliant Luck in their favor!!!
Well we are 1-1 at Reliant we beat Brehnam the next year there.
Remember that one well too, lost a very good QB, Sampere, that game. Dogs Reliant Rally for big win this year!!!!

Little Comparison Cuz I'm Bored.

I think that Nederland will stop Dayton's running Game and win because of it.

Lets compare... Cougars lost to both teams.

Vs. Nederland they had 25 rushes for 53 yards
Vs. Dayton they had 42 rushes for 288 Yards
Vs. Nederland ypc 2.12
Vs. Dayton ypc 6.86

Lets Compare rushing offenses vs the Cougs Defense.
vs. Nederland 46/208
vs dayton 36/149
vs nederland 4.52 ypc
vs dayton 4.14 ypc.

Difference.

Nederland had a 2.4 Positive ratio
Dayton had a -2.72 Ratio.

Meaning you should expect the differential to be 5+ in the Offense to Defense YPC.

Simply put Nederland is going to run up and down and Dayton is going to have to throw the ball to win. or they will try and run it and get destroyed.

Either way i see Nederland Winning. If dayton tries to run the ball, they won't go anywhere and if they try and pass it the line won't be able to prevent the pass rush.

The Broncos only chance at a win is a couple turnovers on the nederland side of the football field, and there defense playing at an extremely high level. I think Nederland gets an early TD then it's ground and pound from there, making it extremely difficult on the Broncos. If it stays close perhaps Carrancao will win one for Dayton, I just expect Nederland to win both line sof scrimmage and dominate this game physically. on route to a 14 point win.
wow like that formula. Poor dayton doesnt stand a chance. Oh well im still going to watch the game even though the outcome is clearly evident.
Dayton should just go ahead and stay home. Save the district gas money.
Dont do that, Nederland needs a tune up game....in all honesty this game has potential to be a true high school football grind game. I just think Nederland has too much defense and an offensive game plan not seen yet all year....

I'm ready for the game, I may be wrong but I don't think the Dogs have ever lost a playoff game at Lamar.
I dont know if NED has lost a single game at Lamar, if so i cant remember it.
Yes Ozen bet us there for the 1st time when Mosely was our running back.
No, 2001 last time we played ozen in the playoffs and we won 42-28 at lamar same year we went to semi finals. We never lost to ozen when Mosely was our rb.
We actually did lose to Ozen in 2004 when Micah was a soph. Nail biter, great game. Ozen had some studs on defense and a great running back who broke our backs with a late long run. Lamar will be friendly to us this Saturday, Nederland 27 Dayton 14!
