1. I would look at a DC in a top 25 program and see if any bites come in...

 4. Hello? What's the score...what happen to the updates?
 5.
Had to leave.  Unwatchable.  Stump has people playing that haven't seen the field all year. Is this game meaningless to Brook?
Yes meaningless.
 6.
these are some stupid play calls
What's going on?

Oh and FYI I will sitting with and cheering for BWB.
You have a red laser dot on ur back... ;D
 8. Where's Big Baby? Got caught day dreaming about PNG! Spent too much time on 5A threads! Lmao!!! Crosby letting Da' Hill know to stay off HWY 90 West of 146!!!

QB reps should go...1, 2, 1, 3, 1, 2, 1, 3 etc...Until script is made on Thursday/Friday then u split 1's  and 2's w/ 3's alternate facing the opposite directions.... 8)
Then how is this...Until script is made on Thursday/Friday. The defensive, offensive and special teams game plan at Lamar are put in place by Tuesday at the latest. BTW, my brother was a WR coach at West Brook during the Chip Ambres days. He lead the Bruins to the 5A quarterfinals and was a ATM signee that went pro baseball after being drafted out of HS. Most people don't know this, Chip suffered a knee injury half way through the season and the MRI showed he was born without one of his knee ligaments. He was a stud and they didn't share too many reps between Chip and his backup younger brother Rick. You might enjoy the article as it mentions Chip passed for 320 yards. But what it doesn't state, he rushed for about 120. West Brook would have won that game IMHO if there wasn't 5 TO's. [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content]
That's awesome...heard nothing but good things about Ambres...
 10. I coached Owen a couple of years in BAsketball ..started at Ozen, I guess he's at Legacy..he's a pretty good ATH...will ask him about stats..
 11.
I don't know how they do it at West Brook now days or Missouri Valley College but Monday is a off day for Lamar players. Then they go hard Tuesday, Wednesday and pull back Thursday. Friday is a walk through practice and Saturday is the game. I've never been around a HS, College or Pro team that has 3rd string QB's getting reps on a regular basis.
Same schedule
 12. QB reps should go...1, 2, 1, 3, 1, 2, 1, 3 etc...Until script is made on Thursday/Friday then u split 1's  and 2's w/ 3's alternate facing the opposite directions.... 8)
 13. I think this game will be a lil closer than expected...SFA on the road has one win(Nicholls State, 1-7)...55-21... Nicholls only win was against Evangel(3-5, NAIA Team), week 1, 42-0. With that being said, Lamar needs to forget the past and play this game as physical as possible to have a shot...hard hitting defense will be the key to success....on the other side of the ball, one play at a time, with the goal of one first down at a time....
 14.
where would you want him?..our receivers are a strong point and he'd get killed running between the tackles... ko returns?
WR...because he has played QB, he should understand route running better than you're average WR.  He has amazing game speed, he is a play maker with the ball in his hands, from the little that I saw last week, he can get in that rotation on passing situations with one weeks practice....3/4 plays, a little overtime, scrimmages... run blocking may be the challenge...that will come with time.
 15.
JJ is not built to be a RB. I'm the guy that asked the coaches the question in the Press Conference about getting him and Bevil on the field at the same time but I was thinking as a WR, wildcat or him at QB and Bevil at WR. Whitten is saying he wants to develop JJ into the QB for the Cards, remember he is a freshman. To be honest year two back was not going to be a title contending year anyway so why would you want JJ at RB and get a shoulder injury?
8)

Absolutetly .. Yes he plays NAIA...are u familiar with that? As for the pic, me and my two sons Yes I am aware who is on lamars roster...but also know these guys I talked about could have been red shirted and bulked up .. And competed as red shirt frosh
Oh, and I never responded to this one.  If he was 6' 1" why would he be playing at UH instead of LU? If he wasn't offered a scholarship here because he isn't 6' that is just plain stupid.  Either you can play or you can't.  I know all types of factors go into it but the bottom line is, are you good enough to play at this level?  Arm not strong enough, ok.  Too slow, ok.  Innacurate, ok.  Troublemaker, ok.  Lazy, ok.  Just not quite good enough, ok.  But, not 6'?  Absurd. Yes, I am familiar with the NAIA.  Obviously, I don't pay attention to it as much as Division 1 and now 1-AA since LU brought back football but I am familiar with NAIA. Btw, I'd be thrilled if my son were ever offered a scholarship to play anywhere.  That alone is an incredible accomplishment.  Hell, making it to starting at a "5A" high school football program is impressive.  I'm stoked when my son gets out from in front of the xbox and goes and plays catch in the front yard.
BINGO.....THOSE were my words almost to the "T"!! Jr and MoVal was a perfect fit....I'm happy he's there, but we miss him here.... ;D

Coach has to go find a qb this spring bc he does not have one. I hope we can beat SFA and Nichols to save face on a good season.
Sorry, but the BS that happened last Spring....DOTY, GONZALES, (the little guy from Hardin).....None getting an offer and u have 7 or 8 on the roster...2/3 can compete at QB, they should have pulled back the scholarships from the guys not being able to make an impact at other positions.... You red shirt Doty, Gonzales, OR the Hardin QB(whom ever)...ALL 3 are athletic enough to Play QB/WR and are play makers!! Defensively... There are enough West Brook players???  WHO's MAKING ALL THE PLAYS?  Maybe there ISN'T enough West Brook players...Should they go to KELLY to find them???  Legacy???  OOPS...they came from the area High Schools, WB included!! and I still say, as I have stated before...JJ as a WR can be NFL material!!!..... I stated this after watching the Spring game, it seemed like his balls were floating...then everyone wanted to chop my comments up....I don't have to put together any numbers to compare to the QB's that are on scholarship at Lamar vs the Class of 2010 QB's from SETX high schools....I can do that in my head...NO COMPARISON... As for the future...my money is on a JUCO transfer, Prewitt, or Louis(if he can stay healthy) to be the QB next year. Sorry, I just feel it will take JJ a couple of more years to develop the arm strength needed to start...
Oh, one last thing...I am still shocked with the Doty deal.  What happened with that?  Was he offered scholarships and just turned them down or what?  No idea who Gonzalez is.  But, we have numerous QB's on the roster at LU.  So, that might be why LU didn't offer them anything.  I think we had 5 or 6 at one point.
Yes there was several QB's on the roster...one of the scholarships went to a 6-5 QB from Nederalnd that wasn't even 2nd TEam all district... :-\
No, he wasn't one of them.  They signed him as an 'athlete' I think.  Not the best decision from what I've seen of him (at Nederland) but I guess time will tell.
Never saw him play QB or TE...
 19. So, they moved up to 5A for better competition....they appear to be having success this season I called and congratulated them. ;)
