If the defensive player gets that close to the guy after a rebound, then he deserves to get whacked in the face.. Its really a judgement call on the ref though.. If the player swings his elbow in a direct attempt to hit the other guy, then its a foul.. Other than that, the defensive guy needs to watch out and back off after he misses the board

I ultimately concluded that HJ would not reach expectations and would not play Silsbee more than twice.. You seem to have taken offense to these statements and reacted in a way that other people on this forum see as "classless." Maybe you could read the comment and laugh or, better yet, make a small comment to disprove the person, instead of create a personal issue out of it and use those discussion points in other various other post.. The people on this board arent really bad, but they have their moments.. My hate comes from other fans not on this board (people that I have chatted with in person, not from behind a computer  ;) ) Pride is one thing, and I understand that.. But "assuming" that it is the "HJ way" to be automatically placed among the elite, and to think the team deserves to always go to the tournament is what I dont like.. HJ's varsity this year isnt a great team.. Thats the point I have made.. Numbers dont lie, and HJ has 20+ wins.. which is no joke, and means something is going right over, but I dont like when people assume they are great, especially when they lose to the best teams on their schedule, and beat the ones they should win by 20 or more over.. But, there is one thing on this board that I used to really hate, but now I truely love.. And it SteveNash's "unmatched" use of vocabulary and diction in his responses..  :D

:D I dont hate them because they win.. Dont start assuming that.. I dont like the arrogance [b]most[/b] HJ fans use when they win.. And I have noticed a big addition in my negative karma points ever since I started "Openly" talking about Hardin Jefferson on this public forum  ::)
