It just got tougher with their 3 hole getting hurt in 7 on 7 football during athletics. I don't understand why a kid has to play 7 on 7 during baseball season, and especially when you're going to the playoffs.

Funny how it wasn't too wet this morning when the game was scheduled.

I'm pretty sure it is a judgement call between the coaches and the district not parents. Why should silsbee have to play before the scheduled lcm vs bc game but that's ok. I'm pretty sure we are the only one to beat bc so far but baseball is baseball and anyone can win any day but I don't think being scared is the issue.

They don't have to play them before lcm if they can't play tonight. That's probably why Silsbee is trying to fight playing.

I stated that our coach agreed to play them today and that it was not official until bc got things ironed out with the district opponent scheduled for today that had declined their offer to play.

So is silbee bc today at west sabine? I see two days mentioned above.

I hear Silsbee is fighting it right now. Claiming it's too far of a drive, when it's only 25 miles further than bc. Why don't he just play? They need to worry about beating other teams, not BC.

Can someone explain to me how the softball field is playable in Colmesneil tonight, but the baseball field is too wet?

Just got word from Colmesneil ISD, no game will be played there today. Field too wet.

I am betting no game is able to be played tonight due to field conditions in this area.

But BC making sure it is legal to not play the game that is scheduled with Silsbee (who won't agree to play BC in Colmesneil today)

This may be a little bit off topic but having sat in those board rooms for years you don't just find $400k laying around for lights. With title nine restrictions you aren't going to spend 1/2 the money at the softball complex that you do at a baseball diamond. If the money isn't budgeted during initial construction you play afternoon games until the fund balance can justify the improvements.That's a fact of life everywhere, not just in SETX.

I wonder how long that takes?  I played there 17 years ago, without lights.  You would think that budget has had plenty of time to balance for lights, or when it does balance, they will probably build another gym. It really is a shame and an embarassment that the baseball field doens't have lights.
