Never really had a head bumpin with ya HD Bob 55...and certainly not trying too now, but If the purpose of our scrimmage was to run a score up, well Kountze could have scored at will...we could have thrown over and over and over and over...scoring virtually every time we touched the ball. You guys stopped us because we ran plays that we need to be able to run efficiently in our district...and at the same time we were even successful with the new ground direction...Now if you want to make a comparison than do it using a bit of reality and logic...as far as HD competing with Kountze...it's a no issue because you don't have too! HD works hard and will hold their own. As far as Warren...I hope they are competitive and those kids work hard and their coaches work hard and they deserve to competitive. Who's better??? Time will tell my friend...oh WTB...I prefer exacto knives vs pitch forks! LOL just my opinion HD Bob 55 not meant as a slap at your proud program or Warrens

Warren was better than Kountze in my opinion. Way more physical! Both good teams.

Actually just talked to someone who told me they lost a lot lol Warren is looking really good. #33 and #5 are tearing up HD.

Im just going to say after watching the SCRIMMAGE against Newton I think I like our chances against Kountze.   I dont think Id be mocking someone cause they predicted a 3 TD win by Kville over Kountze.  I think it will be closer than that but from what Ive read and SEEN so far it might be pretty accurate. 
 
If i had to predict this dist now Id say
 
Kville unbeaten
EC  only 1 lose
Buna  could see them also 1 lose and switched with EC
 
The 4th spot is a toss up between Woodville, Anahuac, and Kountze
 

I would say before criticizing Matthews realize he's taken them to the playoffs 4 of the 6 times the Pirates have made the playoffs. He has Vidor competitive every year. That wasn't the case before. People aren't knocking on the door to coach there either while he's very proud of his team.

He will not be going deep in the playoffs anymore. You cant make bricks with no straw.

One thing I have already noticed with these guys, no stats. No batting averages, RBI, ERA, IP, etc..... nothing

Please stop using logic to talk about playoff games. I did it last week with Huffman vs College Station and the same was told to me. I see CS winning this game as well, but Silsbee has been playing great ball heading into and in the playoffs, as you have also noted, and could win this game, as you have also noted, but IMO CS will win for many of the reasons you have stated. I also have no ties to CS we are from Brenham.

It's really no problem, as it does motivate the boys. I have "opinions" myself on some area teams. I realize this is an open forum, but I just try to be positive. I don't ever want to denigrate kids that are out there busting their butts.

Upgrade the athletic facilities? This is reference a statement made in his initial post, but I didn't feel like quoting the whole diatribe. Your baseball facility is worse than most little league parks. The gym is a dive. Can you justify that statement?

I guess he got tired of all those D1 recruits, JV all-district players, and constant online efforts to win by display of all-time records.

You may be right though. Jonathan Gray was horrible. No talent what so ever. 

If you want to have a football team that is any good you will give it to the football guy. Basketball AD's kill football. Basketball coaches are AD's in Kentucky, Indiana, and North Carolina..not Texas.

Where do you coach little league at?

Little league would be where the poor coaching comes into play

I don't mind 7th grade football as long as someone else is coaching them.
